Wow. This has some zing to it. Got it as a gift from a Michigander friend for a friendly wager on the Lions-Packers game. Packers won, so I got some Michigan beer. Of course I asked for Bells. It pours a hazy, golden color, impossible to see through, with a thick foamy head, which of course reminds me of the Packers’ similarly impenetrable secondary. The aroma has some great citrus notes, as light and airy as Charles Woodson gracefully decending to the turf with yet another interception. The flavor very yeasty, with spicy clove notes that zip, perfectly on-target, to the back of your tongue like an Aaron Rodgers touchdown pass. It’s really a great blend of the Hefe and Belgian styles, kind of like B.J. Raji throwing a block for John Kuhn as he dives for the endzone. Unlike the Lions’ defense after Ndamukong Suh was ejected, there’s nothing missing from this beer. Thanks Kevin! You’re a good sport, and this was a great beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy yellow gold colour with a thin white head. Aroma is bright with wheat, yeast, and clove notes and hints of citrus. Flavor is of wheat and yeast spice with strong bits of clove/banana on the finish.

Pours a light golden amber color. Aromas of citrus/coriander/some hops. I not big a beers with coriander like tastes. Probably a good beer just not my cup of beer.

Light golden color, hazy, heavily carbonated. 1/2 inch thick white head, recedes fairly quickly. Light aroma, hints of banana/wheat and cloves. Moderate feel, initial taste is hefe-like, banana, cloves, wheat, following the aroma. Only slight bittering in the middle with a mild slightly sweet finish. A pleasant beer. Refreshing. A nice change from all the dark and/or high ABV beers in the winter.

This is a delicious blend of am American ale and a hefe wheat beer. The color of this beer is golden yellow like a traditional hefe but this beer has that nice bitter finish of an ale. The bite/bitterness is not as strong as an IPA, but it's definitely noticeable. I am a fan of pretty much everything that Bell's brewery creates, and this offering is no different. Fans of wheat beers will like this slight twist on your typical wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

White and light foamy head. Light yellow body with many floating pieces. I like both styles but together they were not easy to drink.

Tap@Jolly Scholar, Cleveland, USA. Light/medium aroma with sweet wheat. Golden color with minimal, thick head and slightly hazy liquid. Medium soft slightly sweet, bitter taste with wheat and some banana. Narrow taste spectrum and medium slightly hoppy aftertaste. Light/medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, nice US wit with bit artificial twist.
