Rating Backlog #4. Surprised to see that this was a Belgian White. My (unrefined) palate thought it a Hefe Weizen. So much so that my notes actually mention Weihenstephanerish as word to describe this beer. Pours hazy. Live mouthfeel. Spicy flavor. WIll grab again next winter to see if my limited skills have evolved. Draft - Brick Store - Decatur, GA

330mL bottle at Zayda Buddy’s, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, Belgian yeast and lemon zest. Flavour of citrus, light wheat and Belgian yeast, also a hint of banana. Drinks smoothly enough, with dominating notes of Belgian yeast and citrus. Decent stuff, but what can you really do with this style. Nothing special.

Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. Poured a nearly clear, golden color with a quickly dissipating white head, and the aroma of wheat and yeast. A very smooth tasting Wheat Ale. This bottle may have been a bit old.

Had it out of a bottle, on a spring like day. Had the aroma of a hefeweizen, poured a golden hazy color, with a head that disapated quickly and no lacing. The taste was of watery malt. I might have had it past its prime.

Pours golden with nearly no head. Aroma is wheaty with banana yeastiness, some sweet honey, and a hint of spicey grain. Strong banana flavor up front with a sweet finish. Motr of a hefe than a white. Plenty of carbonation gives a little prickle on the tongue. Crisp finish that is not normally present for me in a whear beer. This is actually pretty pleasant.
