On tap at Summits wayside tavern. Pours up a light cloudy orange color. Good alternative to some of the heavier seasonal fare. Nice hints of bright fruit and wood esters. Well done very true to style.

Look: pours a pours a very light gold. Slight cloudiness. Very bright white head. Smell: bananas. Clove. White pepper. Cheap bubble gum. Taste: almost like a Belgian ale. Banana. Cheap bubble gum. Feel: medium carbonation. Slight sweetness. Overall: not my type of beer. Too much banana. First drank: home 11/22/14

Poured from bottle into a tulip glass. Hazy golden color with small off white head. Lots of good flavor to this beer. Wheat, barley tones are strong with hints of orange, cream, and even some bubblegum. Very drinkable beer, tastes even better when pairing it with some football on a cold winter day :)

Appearance is a cloudy, light golden with a moderate white foam cap that dissipated quickly. Aroma is orange, coriander, and a distinct Belgian fruity yeast ester. Taste is a light bready malt with coriander spice, orange peel, pears, and a sharp hop bitterness on the end. Mouthfeel is light with a slight creaminess, and moderate carbonation. Finishes tart and bitter with a lingering pear and orange peel flavor. Great witbier.

Cloudy straw appearance. Easy to drink with little carbonation. Hints of coriander in the taste. Nice cold weather alternative to all the heavy dark beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2 Nov. 2011 bottling, served in a pint glass. (from notes) Golden-yellow color with thin, and short-lived, white head. Cloudy. Looks like a typical wheat beer rather a typical "winter ale", but then this is a "Winter White" and is a witbier. Aroma -- Wheaty and yeasty with hints of citrus and apricots. Taste -- Largely follows aroma: Wheaty and yeasty with hints of citrus, bananas, nutmeg, cloves and apricots. Lightly tart. O -- a fine example of the style, with only a slight departure from normal witbier prep. -- without the packaging, I would not have noticed this one is "seasonally nuanced". A winter ale for the tropics, perhaps.

Transfer from BA review on 3-4-12 - Served in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a hazy yellow-orange color with a medium white head. The head faded leaving only a very small amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma was of yeast and citrus mixed with a bit of spiciness. There was a wheaty-bready smell that mixed in with the citrus. Very traditional wit aromas, but nothing too potent or special. Taste – Wheat flavors are the first to meet the tongue. These are quickly enhanced by some spiciness of coriander and citrus flavors which come mixed with some more yeasty flavors. There are some subtle banana and topical fruits as well. All in all, the fruits are overall moderate and light in comparison to the wheat and spice. Mouthfeel – A bit more crisp at first, but it seems to mellow and become more creamy in the mouth over time. The carbonation is a little on the higher side which matches the crispness nicely and seems to depart just as the creaminess enters. It has a rather nice overall feel. Overall – A pretty nice wit. It has a nice feel and a pretty good flavor, but is just a little weak in smell and aroma.
