3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750mL Bottle, poured at CiderDays 2011 - Cheese and Cider Tasting. Spicy, fresh aroma. Rather under-carbonated. There’s some funkiness and skin bitterness that plays quickly. Very fruity. This is decent, but not stunning.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
On draft at Peekskill Brewery. I’m guessing this is the same stuff - it was only called "Bellwether Cider." A light, sweet pale cider. I believe in supporting local brews, and NY has some good ciders, but this wasn’t too exciting.

Pours pale straw and still. Smells sweet and sugary with some tarte appley undertones. Tastes sweet and raisiny with a vegetal finish. My least favorite of their ciders.

Bottle. I really enjoyed this one. No carbonation, flat body. Flavor is oaky, dry, tart apples. A nice sipping cider.

Crystal clear pale gold color. Nose contains traces of dust, apple skins, and wood. Totally still, and lightly sweet. Dry oaky notes come through followed by tart apples and a touch of pear. Not mind blowing, but pretty quaffable.
