3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From 500ml bottle, poured into shaker pint glass, gift from friend
Aroma: sour/tart cherries, touch of chocolate, very good aroma
Appearance: black, brown frothy head,
Taste: medium bitter, medium sweet
Palate: full body, creamy texture, soft/avg carbonation
Overall: Big cherries and chocolate. Nice barrel taste without being too much. Very sweet from barrels and cherries. Big frothy and sticky brown head. Can taste slight alcohol, but not overpoweringly hot/warm. Fruity with solid bitterness. Very excellent beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2015 bottle from Alican. Black pour with a foamy mocha head that eventually settles down. Roast and semi burnt malt with some dark toffee, bittersweet chocolate, cherry with some pits, slightly jammy plum, full body and moderate carbonation, smooth, booze is well hidden but present and warming, bitter and fruity on the palate, slightly dry. Very thick.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Looks almost entirely opaque, molasses in colour. Dark brown head with long lingering lacing. Can see tinges of red on edges of pour. Aroma of roasted barley, chocolate, coffee, sour fruit, wood notes. Taste is much of the same as aroma with a blanket of tart cherry from start to finish. Roasted notes overpowered, but there is a roasty mouthfeel remaining. Heavy mouthfeel, presumably from residual sugars, but cherries keep things from getting too sweet. Flavours blended very well, you can tell it has been aged.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
2015 bottle. Nose is roasted malt, sour cherry, something wine-like, smells delicious. Taste, pronounced deeply drunken tart cherry on a roasted malt background. Coffee and cocoa notes linger later on once the cherry fades. Thick mouthfeel. This is amazing, every sip worth savoring. If you like cherry and stout this is a winner. I wish I bought more. Best beer I’ve had from these guys.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour out of 500 mL bottle, thanks to TheEpeeist! Thick black pour with dark tan head, aroma brought notes of cherry, dark fruit, brownie, dark chocolate, cognac, some coffee notes, very sweet smelling. Taste was a mix of dark cocoa, lots of tart berry, cherry, the cognac right after providing slight booze, sweet, slight oak, end of the taste is cocoa, coffee, brownie, molasses, finishing sweet. A bit overly sweet for my taste, but the flavors in it are pretty nice. Impressively brewed.
