4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from September 2012.
Smells of plum, grape and oak.
Orange with a lasting fluffy white head.
Good carbonation and refreshing tartness. Tastes like a nice tripel with all its fruit but with a fine balance of tart up front. Finishes slightly sweet and spritzy. Some alcohol warmth. Great stuff.

Bottle 650ml. [Plums].
Pours golden with very high frothy off-white head. Very nice lacing. Aroma is of wine, fruits, belgian ale, very faint oxydation features. Taste is of pinot noir, fruits, belgian yeast, very slight alcohol. Palate: Light-medium body. Prickly carbonation at opening. Overall: Very nice appearance. Not too heavy on plums. Very solid. An awesome liquid, set appart some very faint oxydation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by tom10101, thanks a lot sir! Pours a nice and dark golden with a medium white head that leaves really good lacing. Aroma is of dusty brett, yellow fruits and alcohol. Phenolic but not too intense. Taste is sweet and fruity, lightly tart. Sweet dessert wine notes all over. Carbonation was high, body was medium. Really nice stuff!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(yellow plums version) bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro. pours slightly hazy and bright pale golden with a frothy white head, excellent retention and lacing. dusty bugs, winey - juicy red and white grapes, tropical and citrusy, tasty spicy and honeyed malts - tripel base is actually quite present, tons of fruitiness - blackberries but also apricots. bright carbonation - slightly foamy, light to medium body - oily but feels particularly light, dry herbal-grassy-woodsy lightly astringent finish. fantastic stuff..

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (650 ml). From johnsense, thanks! Slightly hazy golden with a huge white head, decent retention and good lacing. Aroma is mostly of wine (Pinot Noir) with brettanomyces, oak, subdued plums and Belgian yeast. Taste is also very winey with a nice moderate malt sweetness, brettanomyces oak, yeast and hints of plums. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Winey mouthfeel. Slightly dry finish. In a blind tasting, I probably wouldn’t be able to say that the base beer is a Tripel, but I could easily recognize that this is an extremely nice barrle-aged Belgian beer. Super tasty. Nice barrel treatment. Loved it.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep amber golden color. Amazing lactic nose with oak, vanilla, creamy, moderately sour. Some marmalade pops its nose out. Amazing nose. Wow. Hoppier mouth than expected, not so intense, oak, creamy, tons of malt, soo well balanced. Has to be Chardonnay barrels. Oak shines. Drinks amazingly light for 10%. Superb.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Vanilla and cream, fruity, caramel, sweetened condensed milk in the nose. Apple, oak, wine. More plums in the mouth, oak, vanilla, light sourness, more tart than sour. Great fruit, great lactic flavor, yogurt, white wine with oak. Very nice and elegant.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from jercraigs. Amber with a nice creamy slightly off white head. Some oak and chardonnay, somewhat sour plum skins, slight funk and brett but pleasant. Moderate to high carbonation, mild+ body, more funky then anything else with a bit of tart note, easy to drink but you get more alcohol on the palate then the nose, dry and slight farmhouse finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Volo, if I recall correctly. The day after they did some kinda sour beer thing. Anyhow, translucent orange-brown with a mediumish white head. Sour but appealing aroma had oak, booze, orchard fruit, brown sugar and grapes. Flavour kinda muddled all of those things together, including the sweetness. This is another of those sweet&sour sours. Booze results in a nice body. Definitely worth trying again.
