650ml bottle from the brewery. Served in a trappist glass. Pours transparent orange-brown, small white head, medium visible carbonation. Aroma: Grapes, plums, lemon, banana, cinnamon, cloves. Super fruity. Palate: Medium bodied, syrupy, smooth, fairly fizzy, tart finish. Taste: Very sweet, slightly dry finish. Hints of sourness throughout, getting strong in the end. Really well balanced. Not super dry like most tripels, and the sourness is quite pleasant but not overpowering.

500ml bottle shared with scottatron. Hazed pinkish golden. Nice funky fruity triple. Drinks way lighter then the 11%. The fruit comes through but as a whole I think this one could age longer.

Smells amazing, bretty, funky, fruity with some belgian yeast. Hazy yellow. Tastes nice, upfront bretty funk, followed by woody/astringent notes and sweetness, belgian yeast/cloves and a light sweetness/hoppyness. Alcohol well hidden. Medium bodied and average carbonation. Yellow plums not overly evident, may contribute to the tang this one punches. Quite nice, not not completely put together/possibly could use some aging.

Tripels are hard to drink. This is not hard to drink. Thus, this is not a triple. Hazy straw-orange body, medium sized white head, spotty lacing. Light plum, musty barn, soft grains, wet hay, light lacto, soft bready yeasts. Tilquin Quetsche meets something like a good natch of Fantome. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, lively acidity, finish lingers a bit with just a touch of sweetness.

On tap @ the brewpub, listed as 10%. Cloudy orange-gold. Very funky nose, lightly sour, fruity undertones. Tart plum skins, deep barnyard funk, lightly estery. Would never peg this as a tripel, this is all farmhouse! And so drinkable at 10%, waaaaat! Loved it.

2014 version on draft. Hazy apricot nectar with a faint white head that doesn’t last long. Nose is amazingly complex, smoky brett, tart yellow plum, stone fruit, honey, vanilla-oak, apricot, preserved lemon. Lightly tart with a barnyard finish. Full bodied, with average carbonation. Light mouthfeel, long and lingering finish. Intense and tasty, happy with a sample sized serving.

Dry plum, grape, apricot tart, hints of yeast and oak, gentle funky sour finish. Dangerously highly drinkable, another outstanding Bellwoods creation.

VERSION 2 - aged over a year on brett then four months on yellow plums - holyfuck amazing. I would rush your Toronto ass down here to enjoy this exceptional batch, very plummy/apricot-y and the brett sets it off really well. Insanely integrated Fuzzy gold-orange-green color. And I thought I was over Tripels like disco.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, beautiful fruity malt with smooth Brett, cork character, ground cherries, lactic acid, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with orange pulp, coriander, smooth Brett, cork, grassy hops, citrus pulp, excellent. On tap at brewery.

Bottle from September 2012.
Smells of plum, grape and oak. Orange with a lasting fluffy white head. Good carbonation and refreshing tartness. Tastes like a nice tripel with all its fruit but with a fine balance of tart up front. Finishes slightly sweet and spritzy. Some alcohol warmth. Great stuff.

Bottle 650ml. [Plums]. Pours golden with very high frothy off-white head. Very nice lacing. Aroma is of wine, fruits, belgian ale, very faint oxydation features. Taste is of pinot noir, fruits, belgian yeast, very slight alcohol. Palate: Light-medium body. Prickly carbonation at opening. Overall: Very nice appearance. Not too heavy on plums. Very solid. An awesome liquid, set appart some very faint oxydation.
