Hazy amber beer with a small cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. A little wet wood and lagerish malt. Mild noble hop bitterness. Mild lactose. Minerally crisp finish. Okay but wanted more hops.

[4982-20121201] 650mL bottle. Musty toasted spiced resin aroma. Clear, orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Boozy toasted wood grain flavour has a mild vanilla note in the finish. Medium body is a little rough at first but smoothens like whiskey over time. Good. (7/3+/7+/3/15) 3.5

2012-12-01. Lightly hazy dark orange-amber body, small foamy off-white head. 3+ Interesting aroma, light alcohol, mild fruit, sort of a not quite funky quality to the yeast, light vinous quality, dry cedar like wood, muted vanilla notes, bit odd but pleasant. 7+ Flavour is similar, relatively bitter, mild resin and citrus, dry finish whispers of wood in the finish that adds a light tannic quality to the bitterness. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. Decent but I don’t love the way the barrel presents itself. Bottle from the brewery July 2012

Pours a hazy amber yellow with a small white ring. Aroma is oak, floral hops and small sweet bourbon. Taste is dry oak, floral hop bitterness, faint bourbon and caramel. Really nice. Thanks to jercraigs for this!

This is a lot better than I thought it would be. A better beer than the lost river.grapefruit sours and bitter hops. Dark pale ale. Pretty decent, another decent Ontario ipa. On tap at bellwoods.

On tap at the brewery. Orange in colour. Nice hop flavour. The barrel aging adds a nice woodsy taste. Well done ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from the brewery. Bourbon and hop aromas. Pours cloudy golden, with foamy sticky white head. Very lacey. Greater than average mouthfeel, good drinkability and balance of an IPA with distinct nice ageing, wood and bourbon all understated making a lavish mixture.
