COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With strong lactic sour character, the acidity in this beer is like refreshing lemonade. Subtle cereal flavours give body to the light brew.

Refreshingly, unexpectedly grainy over the lemony tart profile. Very palate quenching with crisp dry short flavors that prep you for the next round. Or sometimes I just order it solo and get into it.

2014/05/11 - Pours a hazy, pale yellow colour, with a large, foamy white head that quickly reduces. Aroma is dough, wheat, funk, and tart lemon. Taste is wheat, mild funk and a ton of tart lemon. Finish is crisp and refreshing. Light bodied, with thin, silky mouthfeel and low carbonation. Not a huge fan of the style, but still enjoyable on a warm, spring day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours straw gold with haze. Short white soapy head. Nose robustly of pizza dough, and toasted bread. Smells like a pizza oven, in a good way. Unusually appetizing. Yeast and funk. Head flattens out quickly but is backed up by lots of champagne carbonation. Very sour. Lightly salted. Apples, berry tart, and a tonne of lemon. Crusty with monster flavours for what reads as 3.7%. Very interesting. If somebody said this was a gose... Id say "sure". Its very complex and fun. Wheat beer crossed with a loaf of sour dough bread. Id love to have this with some oysters. Delicious

2013-08-24. Hazy bright pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a bit odd, with a lactic grainy pale malt character, mild sourness. Flavour is pleasantly sour with grainy pale malt base, lovely lemony acidic notes but I find the graininess of the base is very distracting. Sour lemon character grows as you drink through it, improving it greatly for me but I still find that I dont really care for it. Average to light bodied palate, low carbonation. Shows promise but just okay. In fairness a lot of what I dont care for is common to many Berliner Weisses. A decent example of a style that is not one of my favorites. On tap at Volo Bellwoods Sunsplash event, Toronto

16oz draft to wide tulip I'm having the 'Mash Pipe' which comes with a blackberry compote, but rating without. Aroma of, well lactobacillus, which I'm trying to get used to as a 'good' aroma. Lemon comes through too. Cloudy yellow in colour with no head. Flavourwise, it's lactobacillus and lemon too...time for the compote. Compote really mellows the aroma and taste, but I think it's better.

Draught at the brewpub, May 7. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a small semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, grain, a touch of sourness and some vegetal notes (peas mainly). Slightly watery, light flavour, of yeast, citrus, tart fruit and grain. Light to average bodied. Probably right on style but not a style I love, I found it just O.K.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy canary yellow. Not much of a head. Aroma rich with lactobaccilus, lemon curd, and Pedro. Light and thin, refreshing but a tad gassy. Lots of lacto sweetness changes the palate. Nice, and authentic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Almost greenish hazy colour. No head. Smells Berliner - with a hint of stank yeast, abundant wheat, and light celery. Light body, very wheaty and just a hint of acidity. Again a touch of footiness from the yeast. Authentic and decent, though I personally like them trater. I hope they buried a couple cases in the backyard and dig them up in two years.

They also do seasonal syrups, on this visit rhubarb. Nice touch, theyve got style.
