Diolch JoeMcPhee. Hazy copper pour with a frothy white head. Lovely crisp grapefruit hop aroma. Oily texture, nice fruit gummy hop flavour. Quite sweet but delicious.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and phantomhennes. Thanks Robbie for sending this to me, and Pam for being the mule. Very hazy medium gold, messy white head. Guava, pine, with funky/earthy character and pale malts. Oily and a little dirty, with long bitterness. Oddly rustic, but in a way that makes me happy.

Pours hazy pale amber with two fingers of pillowy white head, good retention and excellent lacing. (4/5) Nose is juicy citrus, pine resin, pale malt, light pepper. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet giving way to moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter and slightly spicy finish. (4/5) No bottle date, but I got it from the Bellwoods bottle shop a couple of days ago, so it’s definitely fresh - and it is bright when fresh. This certainly has some of the catty element expected for Simcoe, but in a fairly restrained and polite way. I was a little fearful that the cat would be overwhelming, especially given the name, but it’s better than I was expecting. (15/20)

500 ml bottle from the brewery, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear amber with a full light tan foam. Aroma: Resinous and peppery, some citrus and other fruitiness, faint cat pee, a little caramel and other light malts, a touch...phenolic?, not bad. Palate: Medium+ body with somewhat lively carbonation. Flav.: More citrus than the nose, resinous and dank, a hint of cat pee, quite hoppy, some malt support with a little caramel; dry with decent bitterness and a long, quite resinous and peppery finish.

Nice stuff.

500ml bottle from the brewery in Toronto. Golden orange in colour with a large and lingering white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of tropical fruits, grassy, resiny, pine. The flavour is nice and hoppy, pine, citrus, tropical fruit sweetness. Hoppy mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long and hoppy. An excellent IPA, excellent balance.

Très savoureuse et très belle présence de houblons. Un côté floral se fait sentir en finale et apporte donne une touche agréable et particulière. Surprenamment légère pour un taux d’alcool à 7.3

[6117-20140117] Bottle. Light pine sap and hoppy leaf aroma. Clear, bright orange body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter tree pine sap flavour has a long aftertaste. Medium body is quite bitter. Good. (7/3/8/3/16) 3.7

nice golden with a little haze, finger of white head. Really rice nose of citrus and some floral hops, but I’m getting a hint of Summit in there which is seriously not a favourite of mine. The taste well balanced cereal malts, little sweetness, good mouthful of hops that mirrors some of the noses, but there is that Summit. It’s a good beer, and you can tell it. but that Summit pulls it down for me. Ah well.
