UPDATED: DEC 5, 2013 500ml bottle bottled on Nov 5, 2013. Drank Nov 7, 2013. Pours a clear, slightly dark yellow/orange with a two finger, nearly white head that coats the glass with lacing. Aroma is pungent with some floral/earthy/grass notes mixed with pine, lemon citrus, and a touch of tropical fruits.Taste is bitter. Notes of pine with an earthy, herbal, slightly peppery spiced taste at the end. Medium body and carbonation. Smooth, drinkable, texture that is fairly refreshing.Overall I like it. More herbal than most of their other beers but good in its own right. A fine addition to the line up. I hope they don’t just make this when they run out of Citra. Cheers!

Bottle from Hammy78, huge thanks from both me and the real cat lady! Pours a light golden with a really thin layer of foam for a head that leaves OK lacing. Nose is pretty obviously of onions and oranges, quite unusual but not really offputting. I thought I’d get more of the classic "cat piss" aroma but no, onions and sweet oranges it is. Taste is sweet and hoppy, mediumly bitter. Flavors are once again of sweet oranges and grapefruits. Not bad at all. Mouthfeel is oily and lightly sticky. Carbonation somewhat light. Not bad at all, I need to sample their other hoppy offerings now!

Thanks to Nick for this. Pours a hazy gold with a small white top. Aroma is intense citrus and grapefruit hop aromas that make you want to live in the glass. Taste although dials back the hop flavouring to loads of citrus and grapefruit but the bitterness doesn’t back up the aromas. I’m thinking the hops are going to turn my mouth inside out and I’m left looking for a little more.

500 mL bottle. Pours golden yellow with a lacy white head. Orange/tangerine citrus, and an amalgam of resinous dank herbal aromas--from pine and lanolin to cat piss and ganja. Dry stuff, only the suggestion of sweetness, offset by a fierce hop bitterness. Sticky and lingering palate. Moderate plus body with above average carbonation. Let it warm. Ameowsing.

500 mL bottle from the brewery, served in a branded stem glass. Pours hazy golden with a small, rocky white head that fades to a thin remnant and leaves a trace of fine lace. The nose has citrus, lemongrass, earth, spice and a subtle cattiness, presumably from the Simcoe. The flavour is well balanced between a moderate piney bitterness and a floral, fruity, candy-like sweetness. Citrus comes through, along with more lemongrass, grapefruit and caramel malt. The finish is long and bitter with grapefruit peel and a touch of pine. On the palate it is medium in body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA that grew on me as it warmed. The hop profile had a very nice resinous quality with bitter grapefruit rind. It would have been nice to have a bit better head retention; the tap version may be better in this regard. 2014-03-24

Bottle from the brewery.
Clear golden with orange tinge. Tropical mango aroma, orange zest and lemon. Lots of orange with a touch of sweetness. Good balance. Really good.

500ml bottle fresh from the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a generous off white head that settles quickly but leaves some lace. Nose is lots of pine and citrus and earth. Starts sweet malts and honey but quickly picks up bitter lemon and grapefruit to produce a nice dry finish. Very fresh and earthy. Medium slick mouth with soft carbonation. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Probably the freshest beer I’ve ever had as I bought it as the bearded hipster was labelling the bottle. Pours a foggy golden orange with a one inch foam cap. Aroma is classic ipa sucker punch of cracked pine & citrus. This a full throated ipa. Each sip brings deep hop flavour: grapefruit, pine needles, & a great earthy funk that I can only describe as homegrown high grade ganja. Light this baby up while you cook the wife dinner & you’ll be enjoying this beer’s groove all night. Love it.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of citrus hops, dank earthy notes, and biscuity notes. Flavour is fairly bitter, with notes of pine, earthy notes, and biscuity malt. Pretty dank and earthy. Easy drinking, with a fairly astringent aftertaste. Good beer.
