COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style IPA fermented with a Belgian yeast. The hops used add a fresh grassy character that gives way to soft floral notes. The natural Belgian yeast creates unique aromatics with a slightly pungent undertone.

Bottle from brewery. Pours a Lear golden colour, fluffy white head and lines of lacing. Nose is distinctly Belgian, yeasty nose, sweet malts too. Tastes bitter and it hangs for a bit. Malt sweetness, Belgian yeast. Decent.

On tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels - BE. Color: clear blond beer with small carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: domination of hops, with grassy and floral notes. Not so fruity beer. Taste: very drinkable and good balance between hops and malt. Good hoppy taste, grassy and nice floral finish. Small mango finish. Aftertaste: wet bitterness! Great IPA!

The beer has a distinctive aroma of freshly cut grass, basil and zest. The flavor is the same. Overall refreshing and has a delicate bitterness to it. Very soft one for an IPA which is not bad. I enjoyed it.

Draught (7,3%) @ Lambic Foeder. Rated on 25.06.2015
Aroma has fruit candy, some citrus and mild biscuity tones. Flavour has sweet and soapy citrus, some herbal notes and gooseberry bush. Also gooseberry bush. A wit on the sweet-ish side.

Bottle. Pungent onion, strawberry, and sweet celery aroma in front of sweet pilsner malt and faint, pepper and clove phenolic accents. Murky gold under a persistent, lacy white cover. Flavour is refreshing strawberry and grapefruit peel hops with medium woody bitterness and a sugary malt backbone. Delicate and well balanced. Peppery phenolics are very subtle and complement the bitterness. Medium light body, medium carbonation, crisp and dry.

Top notch Belgian IPA from Bellwoods. Cloudy apricot pour with bubblegum and Belgian spices on the nose. Big blast of lemony hops, pepper, wild flowers, Belgian yeast and more bubblegum. Crisp and beautiful.

Hazy orange color with a frothy withe head. Aromas are strong with citric overall. Flavor is predominantly bitter. Pretty balanced and properly carbonated.

Nose of sweet citrus, yeast funk, and dry hop with medicinal notes. Cloudy gold with a medium soapy white head. Nice peppery carbonation. Initially comes off being quite bitter. The body of the beer is decently sweet behind all the hop. Notes of bread and bret. yeasts. Grass, bitter melon. Lots of florals in the nose and mouth at every sip. A lot more Belgian (think Orval) than what you’d expect from an IPA. So, I can see how people might think it strange.
