I first read the reviews of the "tester" common ale and they seemed to be mixed and the beer sounded plain. This dry-hopped version is great. Very little aroma but there is a faint scent of bready malt and floral hops. Taste is incredibly smooth with some biscuity taste and the hops hit but just very subtly at the end.

Bouteille de 500ml. Version à 4,6% brassée le 12 mars 2013. Merci Pat.

Hazy gold pour, good head. Grassy aroma, citrus fruit. Quite hoppy, pine, citrus fruit, slightly bready. Small rings of lace. Easy drinking.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2013 Bottle [500ml]. Pours a cloudy copper-gold with an average size frothy off-white head. Some lacing on the glass. Nice aroma of fruit, a good amount of hops -- grassy, floral, citrusy and more -- along with sweet malt and grain. Fruity, hoppy flavour with a moderate bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Quite flavourful for the low abv and really easy to drink, really good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 mL bottle. Pours a hazy cider color with a foamy white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy, biscuit and hay style malt. Light and quaffable, clean, only a slight bitter hop flavor left on the palate. Good carbonation. A flavorful session ale, would be great in the summer.

The initial smell is good. Lots of tangy citrus hops. Pours a slightly opaque orange. Palate is light with a high carbonation feel. Crisp malty leave, light bitterness in taste. Tap at brewpub.

This pale ale is anything but common. It has a bit of a straw-like barnyard aroma. It’s got an astringent bitter to it that has almost a Gin-like quality. It’s similar almost to their saison, but doens’t come on as strong. It’s an interesting pale ale, but I wouldn’t call it common. Has almost a soda water-like carbonation level. On tap at Bellwood’s Brewery.

November 22, 2012 - on draught at Volo. Odd, the ABV was posted as 5.5% - oh well. Very hazy amber-gold with a minimal creamy fizzy off-white head. Smells great - citrus/citrus zest, floral and fruity - nice!! Taste follows, but much more muted and a lot grainier - nice, but not the full-on fresh hit of fresh hops the aroma delivered. Average body, solid carbonation, quick-finishing and a bit sticky - really really good beer - but a common? I dunno, more an APA. Who cares - I would drink it again.

Draft at Bellwoods. Clear light bright copper-amber with a smallish white head. Pleasant fresh grain and light floral hop aroma, slightly sweet, nice balance. Good chewy soft mouthfeel, decent carbonation, quick clean grainy finish. Solid.

[5025-20121222] Tap. Orange bitter citrus and toasted must aroma. Slightly hazy, orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter orange peel citrus hops flavour. Medium body is fairly bitter. Very tasty, could drink pints of this -- but it seems more like a pale ale than a common. (7/4/8/4/16) 3.9

[4363-20120401] Tap. Mild evergreen citrus hops aroma. Clear, bright orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter grainy evergreen needles continues in the flavour with a hint of buttery orange pip. Medium body is fairly bitter. Great balance of hops and bitterness, very drinkable. (7/3/7/4/15+) 3.6

Enjoyed on tap at Bellwoods. This is a very hopped(Amarillo and Cascade) lager. Orange body, lots of trace. Another, and a good addition, to the trend of hoppy drinkable lagers. Mouth tingling.. The hop taste is there, its not hop overwhelming. Slight sugary finish.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. A nice introduction to their beers. Nice bitterness yet sessionable. Orange coloured, very lacey. Very good drinkability. Northern Brewer hops.
