650mL bottle from the brewery. Pours an orange peach colour with a good amount of white head. Smell is sour without a doubt. Plums are there, but there’s also a bit of hoppiness. Palate is on the heavy side of medium with an oily finish. Taste is quite sour, but gives way to a nice sweetness that lingers in the aftertaste. Really nice sour.

Draught at the brewpub, May 7. Pours a cloudy copper with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma is yeasty along with light sugary sweetness, bready notes, caramel malt, herbs and very light hops. Flavour’s yeasty, sugary, spicy and fruity. Alcohol’s well hidden. Medium bodied. Quite good.

On tap at the brewery. Appearance: Hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma: A little sour, good amount of yeast, toast. Flavour: Spicy, alcoholic bite, toasty, quite malty, long citrus & malty finish.

Draught at Bellwoods. Hazy gold, smallish off white head. Smells of alcohol, raisin, coriander, pear and blush off-dry wine. Taste follows, a bit more alcohol and spice (licorice?); a bit like a grassy tripel. Average body, enough spice and alcohol to make it a bit astringent, good carbonation ... Just a nice, lively, strong Belgian golden, not too sweet.

Sampled at the brewpub. Clear amber colour, with nice white lacing. Sweet Belgian spice aroma. The taste is bready and spicy with a dry finish. Good body and carbonation. Considering it stemmed from a mistake it’s unlikely that we’ll see it again, which is a bit of a shame.

really nice glowing orange colour. starts off pretty bright with flavours of peach and orange. finishes much like the saison with a peppery and dry end.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery. Looks and tastes very much like the farmhose, with similar colour and almost the same funk. Pappery and ginger. I liked the farmhouse or the dubbel on their own merits. Still good drinkability. Ok mouthfeel.

Deep orange coloured pour. The nose is lovely with a little bit of minerally character, some bitter orange and a little bit of clove. Moderately dry with a touch of mintiness. Bright and fresh. Quite strong with a peppery sort of ethanolic character. The saison really seems to lighten it up despite the booziness in the finished product b ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Has a floral hops scent. A golden hue to it with good cloudiness, good carbonation. More floral hops in the taste. Some bitterness mixed in. A good mix of their Saison and a tripel style. The florals even out the barnyard tastes of the Saison. On tap at Bellwoods
