2014/01/14 - Pours an opaque, dark brown cola colour with a two-finger, fizzy, khaki coloured head that quickly reduces to a lasting surface film. Aroma is toasted/smokey malts, chocolate and sour brett funk (lemon and cranberries?). Taste is lemon, smokey malts, mild chocolate notes and a sweet and sour acidic aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium, with lively carbonation and a tart, drying finish. Interesting mix that plays well together. Well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black with a medium big head. The aroma has strong notes of barrel aging. it reminds of dry red wine. It has also lots of toffee, chocolate and nuts. The taste is less rich then the aroma. It has surprisingly light body and sour coffee aftertaste. Still nice to drink but a bit disappointing since the aroma is very promising.

Draught @ Moeder Lambic, Brussels. Aroma has sourish tones, balsamico, red wine and mild tobacco & licorice. Flavour has licorice, red wine, woody tones, balsamico and mild spices. Too oud bruin for me.

Bottle shared. Black pour with thin tan foam. Aroma is winey, nice brett, roasty notes, red wine. Taste is tart, nice earthy notes, good balance of roastiness and tart flavors. Palate is light, good carbonation, dry finish. Palate really boosts the drinkability of this beer, I’m not a huge fan of the style but this works well.

CacheManyHose (391) - HONG KONG - JAN 3, 2015
Draught at Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto. Opaque dark brown-black with no head or legs. Smells sour, raisiny, cough syrup, bit of coffee, wood. heavy and sweet. Tastes of cola, sour lime, cough syrup, lightly spicy. Body is thin, spicy, fizzy. Don't think Brett + porters are my thing.

Draught at Bellwoods Brewery. Big slightly chemical aroma - very sour/sharp and toasted. Taste is sharply tart and sour, roasted malts, and some chemical. Good palate - sufficiently rich. Lasting sour booziness. Probably one of the sourest beers I've had to date. Not bad at all, but not something I'd get again.

500ml bottle from the brewery in Toronto, Ontario. Black in colour with a thin tan coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is of oak, cherries, some sourness, vinous. The flavour is of wood, earth, some roasted malts, some sourness. Sour mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, woody, sour and a bit warming. An interesting brett porter, a nice touch.

[6470-20140708] Bottle. Grainy fruity malt aroma has a soupy barbecue sauce hint. Hazy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Sour saucy grains and toasted malty flavour. Medium-full body has a sour base. Good. (7/3/8/3/14) 3.5
(Tasting at cgarvieuk’s, w/ him, BenH, jercraigs, Stuu666, others)
Overheard: "I’m gonna try your peachy butt sauce." "He has a bit of an asbestos mouth, actually."
