Bottle (650 ml). Thanks to John! Hazy brown with a medium beige head. No lacing. Aroma of berries, cherries, caramel, spices... interesting but not really what I expect from a Saison. Taste is moderately sweet and slightly acidic with caramel, berries, spices and a medium herbal bitterness finish. Medium body. In my opinion, this beer isn’t right on style, but it still interesting and drinkable (even if little heavy). It worth a try.

Medium brown color. Peppery, cherries, estery, mandarin oranges and a bit of sponge cake in the nose. Slightly tart, earthy character with a fair amount of hoppiness. Very well balanced, Slight to moderately bitterness with cherries and wood character. Great depth, great balance. Fantastic.

Light brown amber. Nutty, caramel malts, tobacco, pumpernickel or some sort of bread. Rye? Pretty bitter. Decent saison

November 20, 2012 - on draught at the brewpub. Lovely - hazy rosy gold, average rocky beige head. Smells like a simple sweet dubbel - yeast, caramel, spice, some alcohol - not very estery. Taste follows, but a welcome addition of dry herbal bitterness, maybe a hint of cocoa - still a little fruity, more apple than banana. Thick, chewy, airy but not fizzy - sweet and malty, quick-finishing, a little mineral in the aftertaste - a solid beer.

On tap at Volo. Pours an orangey brown with modest tan head. Aroma is caramel, fruity esters and wheat. Flavour likewise with lots of sweet caramel and fruit. Fine carbonation. Nice.

[4962-20121120] Tap. Odd vegetal leaf grains aroma. Hazy, bright red body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter lemongrass flavour has a bit of a fruity note. Medium body has a dry finish. Interesting Belgian yeast but is a little dry for me. (7/3+/7/3/15) 3.5

On ap at the brewpub. Hazy copper pour, huge rocky head. Spicy aroma, herbs, tea, and grass. Very active carb, prickly mouth feel. Sharp hops, dry spicy, herbal finish with a light pepperiness.
