Bouteille 500ml. Couleur jaune très pâle translucide, mousse blanc cassé à grosse bulle. Arôme citronné, Brett, côté vin blanc, malt craquant, levure, cuir neuf. Goût de malt, levure, sèche, boisé, Brett fin de bouche. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen-faible.

Light, hazy golden, rather white. Thin foam layer. Aroma is light, farm ale. Yeasty and with some small citrus. Taste is bitter’ish saison, soft at the same time. Nice and complex.

What a beer. Definitely cannot speak to the ins and outs of the taste nuances as well as others but they all come together wonderfully and this is the best Bellwoods beer I have had yet - and that is saying a lot!

Dry hopped on draft at brewery. Cloudy straw appearance. Nose is juicy funk and some floral hops. Taste lots going on. Very dry Brett green apple with a hoppy grassy finish. Complex as hell. Really barnyard. Fun beer

Ye gods this is a good beer! It’s a cloudy blond, blah, blah, blah. Malty goodness nose with soft sour grapes nose, yada, yada. But the taste! Great soft malt profile, with this gentle, smooth sourness that has a creamy (as in dairy) richness, that is just spectacular. Hints of vanilla, cream, sour grapes, lemon, and hay malts. Lovely zing to the after. This is a good beer. Labeled Batch 6th. Oct 10th. 2014

Delicious funky saison, apricot, lemon tart, white wine, dry finish. Great balance, one of my favorite brew from Bellwoods and that says a lot :)

500 ml bottle from the brewery. Labelled Batch 4, bottled on March 5, 2014. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with lots of bubbly white head. Smells of citrus, funk, very fresh. Taste is farmhouse funk, tart, citrus, yeasty. Really good. I think I am getting a bit of wine barrel in the finish. Good brew.

Top brewery this one. Lovely Saison with a ton of complexity - most of which fails me from memory now. Still I remember being impressed, as I have been for all their beers.

Bottle from the brewery -bottled May 26, 2014 - Batch 5. Very pale hazy gold with a one finger white head. Nose has lots of funky Brett with moderate wine and wood notes and a light fruitiness in the background. Light pear sweetness to start with a dry wine and cherry tartness in the middle. Light peppery splice in the finish. Medium light mouth with active carbonation. Nice and well balanced and the tartness is well controlled.
