3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A little footy/yeasty, has a nice thick head though. Sweet, a bit fruity but with sticky pale malts. Maybe a touch of spice. The brett does not seem to have kicked in yet.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy pale orangey yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, very light funk, and citrus. Flavour is quite complex, bringing out traditional farmhouse yeast notes, some brett funk, citrus zest, and even a bit of salt. Extremely refreshing, yeasty and well-balanced. A brett saison that can compete with the best of them. Wonderful.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A hazed blonde saison with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with pineapple, Brett, lemon, very nice. In mouth, a smooth sour puckering malt with light acetic notes, Brett, very nice and fruity yet complex. On tap at brewery.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Lemon grass, lime and some sweet yeast. Cloudy yellow and a rich head. Sour, oaky, lemon, coriander effervescent and dry. Another nice beer from what is becoming my favourite Canadian brewery.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 10, 2015 Recent bottle from the retail store. Somewhat of a foamer with a deep yellow body and lots of bubbles. Aggressive carbonation, above average mouthfeel. Somewhat funk and in the style. Good farmhouse, good drinkability. Not getting much of the barreling impact, but its nice.batch 8 is a paradigm shift. Funk base with lemony tart character. I up the rating but it should be a new rating.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
2013-03-28. Hazy bright pastel yellow, nice large white head. 3++ Lovely aroma, floral lightly yeasty character, mild grassy quality to the hops. 7++ Flavour is similar, modest grassy hop bitterness throughout, modest yeasty character, mild fruity character, muted vinous quality, whispers of oak grow as it warms but barrel character is very restrained overall, to itís benefit. Gains a slight acidity in the finish as it warms up. 7++ Average bodied palate is fairly carbonated. Pretty nice stuff and exceptionally drinkable. I think we had a bottle of this the next day too (no label on the bottle!) and it was similarly very drinkable. Bottle shared by GregClow.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared at RBAG 2013, and obtained from Sammy in a recent trade. Thanks man! Bright yellow body, hazy, topped by a huge frothy white head that laced well. Funky and pleasantly yeasty with rustic character and a crisp mouthfeel, lightly spicy dry finish. Really great saison here, but I didnít pick up on any real barrel traits to be honest. Didnít care though-- great saison.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2016 My Bottom Line:
Hay-laced brettanomyces is met by caprine angles and citrusy hops, as white wine connotations stick the landing.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty golden.
-The honeyed residual sugars in the tap version surprised me.
-The complexity of this one is highly enjoyable, yet remains low profile if you are not paying attention.
-The higher carbonation in the bottle works wonderfully, increasing the perception of dryness.
Bottles, and on tap at Siboire, Sherbrooke.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, March 12, 2013. Drunk at 3 months. Cloudy golden pour with a persistent thick white head. The nose is lovely - minerally and bready aroma. There is a lovely peppery/lemony aroma that is really quite lovely. Herbal and a little bit spicy with a touch of light mint on the finish as well. Very bright and zesty with a bit of lemon. It has a very moussey texture, yet is also quite dry on the palate. There is a little bit of flinty bitterness on the back as well as a touch of light hoppy flavour as well. Damn - this is a thing of beauty. Itís going to be a challenge to keep the second bottle around to try at a year.
