Slightly funky note at the start as is expected but the balance is slightly off so it seems like 2 beers. Not easy to drink or a session beer, but very unexpected and pleasant. Bitter, green almost but in a way that works with the yeast and body. Weird but good.

Pours a cloudy caramel brown with a big frothy beige foaming head. Aroma is mild farmhouse and citrus hops. Taste is nicely balanced with citrus and earthy hop bitterness and sweet caramel malts. Thanks to jercraigs for this.

[4545-20120622] Tap. Light leafy hops aroma has a mild citrus band-aid note. Clear, golden orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Light bitter leafy buttery hops flavour. Medium body. Great to drink. (7/3/7/4/14) 3.5

Bottle [650ml] shared with tupalev c/o GregClow. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with an average size long-lasting frothy white head. Aroma is herbal and yeasty along with some fruit and grassy hops. Flavour is yeasty along with herbs & spices and the hops showing up in the bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Frickin’ great stuff!

bomber from bellwoods. hazy orange with an off white head. weird nose, lots of fermentation character, next to no hops, a bit a banana, doesnt smell like an ipa or a farmhouse ale. the flavour is another mixed bag. lean malt body, little to know hop flavour, decent late bitterness, dry, wheaty, and estery. its an okay attempt at a belgian ale but it has no farmhouse character and smells and tastes nothing like an ipa.

Tap at the brewery. Pale golden pour with a tight white head. The aroma is quite spicy and clean with notes of clove and white pepper. A little bit of trooical fruit hoppiness that is pretty well integrated with the yeast. A little bit an odd estery off-flavour that’s not quite right, but it’s not bad either. Decent stuff. Assertive but clean bitterness.

2012-06-22. Crisp dark orange body, foamy beige head and lace. Flavour is interesting, sort of a funky farmhouse character up front, the hoppy bitterness comes in the second wave. Decent amount of bitterness, light citrus presences but the farmhouse notes are the dominant character. Dry finish. 7+ Modest aroma, farmhouse, lightly dusty pale malt. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. 3+On tap at Volo, Toronto

A golden amber with a thick creamy mocha lacing head. In aroma, super pungent catty and piney hops, solvent notes, fruity, pineapples, very nice and complex. In mouth, a smooth grassy malt with lingering herbal hops, lemony notes, piney, roasted caramel, rich and smooth. On tap at brewery, June 24 2012.

On tap at Volo’s. Bold farmhouse flavour with fresh bitterness. Soapy head, good lacing. Good drinkability, average mouthfeel.

From a bomber bottle from the retail store. Pours a nice light amber hue with a soft white head. Aroma carries with it some yeast, bubblegum, herbs, slight doughy barnyard aroma. sweet and soft on the palate, slightly cloying, with a honey like finish. Good stuff.
