3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hangunder (98) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 20, 2013
Very creamy/chocolately/milky nose, smells great. Black color, can’t see through this one, and a long lasting bubbly brown head. Taste mirrors the aroma quite closely, first sip is dark chocolate, finishes with sweet milky chocolate with a little bit of bitterness in the middle. A bit of alcohol and more sweetness as it warms. Very light bodied, which is the main downside of this one. Medium carbonation. Aftertaste is a bit too sweet for my liking. A good beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 neuromatt (858) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 6, 2013
On tap at the brewery, served in a snifter. Pours black with a moderate tan head that remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. On the nose there are notes of dark malts, chocolate and dark fruit with a hint of molasses. The flavour is quite sweet with chocolate, molasses, toffee and a touch of dark fruit. It finishes with a nice herbal, chocolatey, roasty malt finish. On the palate it is full in body with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall this is a nice Baltic porter that borders on a stout. Subtle, creamy and malty, it is a beautiful sippable brew. 2013-03-06

Appearance poured dark brown with dark ruby light. Medium plus sized fine beaded cap.
Flavor and Palate : Prune, sweet with dark malts. Medium lighter carbonation. Hinted by plum , slightly earthy mineral cellar like in character. Feels lighter that Lagered Baltics of Poland. Solid strong porter just not Baltic.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Spab (1646) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2013
650 ml bottle from brewery. Pours a murky very dark brown with orange edges and creamy, light brown head. Aroma of milk and dark chocolate, coffee and a whiff of licorice. Flavour is milky chocolate with some roasty cocoa and coffee notes and gentle licorice. Thick, creamyish mouthfeel; alcohol is really not apparent. Quite nice.
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 rejtable (812) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 21, 2013
Pours coffee black with a light brown head, no lacing. Nose is roasted malt and espresso. Aromas of espresso, roasted malt, maybe some chocolate and a hint of soy. Tastes are just shy of heavy sweet and a light bitterness in the fi ish. Mouth is light creamy. Great beer.

650 mL. Pours black with a thin coffee colored head. Aromas of deep roasted malt, prune, dark chocolate. Creamy mouthfeel with low to medium carbonation and a long finish. Sweet but cut well by the intense roasting. Flavorful.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 DerWeg (1394) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 5, 2013
Gosh it’s nice. Dark coppery brown that is slightly clear with pale brown head. Aromas of dried dark fruits and chocolate, all playing into the well-poised sweetness of the flavor profile set off by a little dryness from the hops which wisely do not fuck with the wine-like fruity & malt taste profile, not adding any undue earthy or jarring bitter hop notes. Not funky in any way, just pure sexy elegant smooth stuff. Hint of toffee and, way way back, vanilla. Rated from bomber bottle this time, was way too easy to drink it all.
