On tap at Bellwoods. Pours a hazy semi translucent, light orange with a half-finger white head that coats the glass with lacing. Aroma has notes of tropical fruits and pine needles with a touch of breadyness.Taste is a balanced hoppy bitter with a hint of malt gains and a slightly fruity, earthy aftertaste.Low-medium body with a medium carbonation. Fairly clean in the mouth with a dry finish. Refreshing and drinkable.Overall pretty good. I enjoy the more fruity hop varieties and this is a great choice. Great aroma, solid taste, and good mouth feel and drinkability. Cheers!

[5189-20130406] Tap. Light sweaty floral yeast and gym bag aroma. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a quick foamy white head. More sweaty yeast in the flavour. Bitter medium body. Good. (6/3/7+/4/14) 3.4

500 mL bottle from the brewery, served in a branded stem glass. Pours somewhat hazy straw-golden with a large, fluffy white head that fades to a thin cover and leaves a moderate amount of fine lace. The nose has big notes of lemon and grapefruit, along with passion fruit and more suble notes of pine and pale malts. The flavour is moderately bitter with big citrusy, tropical fruity hops paired with a nice pale malt base. The finish is long and quite hoppy, with a slight peppery component. On the palate it is light in body with a dry texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a nice single hop pale ale; it is appropriately light and refreshing and would make a nice summer patio sipper. On its own, however, Galaxy does not have the complexity you want in a great pale ale. 2013-07-08

Draft - Leafy hops and pine. Cloudy gold with a thin head. Tastes just like it smells. Very clean and a great showcase to the hop.

(500ml bottle from brewery, nice and fresh) Pours a slightly hazy orange-gold with a small white bubbly head, light lace. Big, pungent Galaxy aroma of mixed fruit; passion fruit, pineapple, orange and more. Also a little leafy/flowery/pine character, little bit of fresh bread. On the palate, nice fruity punch from the hops, more slightly bready/sweet malt, hop bitterness is restrained but noticeable towards the finish. Slightly grainy in finish, a little earth, candied orange lingers on the tongue as it warms. Mouthfeel light-medium, carb medium. Love the complex tropical fruity characters from this hop, it’s a great candidate for a single hop beer and this is a flavourful and refreshing APA that results.

In short: An aromatic fruity orange IPA bursting with freshness. Excellent.
How: Bottle 500ml, consumed fresh soon after purchase, bottle forwarded to me by blankboy, thanks a lot Paul.
The look: Partly cloudy shinning orange body topped by a medium white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Highly aromatic nose loaded with all kinds of fruits (peaches, apricots, pineapples, passion fruits, more…) along with some perfumy floral/piney notes. Nice fragrance here. In mouth the beer feels doughy yet slender, pleasant bread dough flavor, low sweetness. Loads of fruity flavors that include but is not limited to the usually citrus fruits. These Galaxy hops express a nice exotic fruits character. One aspect I particularly like is the overall great freshness quality in its fruity flavors and bready cereals. Another winner for the Canadian Hill Farmstead. And I hate when someone is feeling sad and I recommend an excellent beer like this one and instead of thanking me this person says my framed Beerotherapist diploma is made-up bullshit.

500 ml bottle. Clear gold pour w/ white head. Fruity, tropical, pretty typical galaxy aroma but already somewhat faded. Taste is a tad watery, light, light grassy hop bitterness. Palate is powdery feeling, light and very dry. A bit bland unfortunately, still quite drinkable.

Bottle 500ml. Pours golden with low white head. Intense lacing. Aroma is of fruits, flowers, some fuel. Taste is of fruits, nice hops, sweetness. Palate: Ligth-medium body. Overall: Good. Nice hopping. A tad lacking in depth, taste-wise.

Bottle (500 ml). 4 month old. Thanks John! Hazy golden/orange with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is of galaxy hops, tropical fruits, malt, grassy notes and light pine. Taste is a bummer here (my tasting buddies don’t agree with me on this) but it was light and probably just a shadow of is former self... light tropical fruits, malt, slight sweetness, grassy notes and light pine. Thin to medium body. Low carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. It’s not a bad beer, there’s no off-taste and the aroma is still quite good.
