2012-08-23. Lightly hazy bright yellow orange modest off white head and lace. 3+ Flavour is on the dry side, moderately bitter throughout. Lightly grassy hops, sort of lemony quality but not quite, modest floral undertones are slightly different from what that usually means but I can’t quite describe why. 7+ Aroma is similar, modest hops have notes of grass, muted straw and mild lemon and floral notes. Average palate has pleasant carbonation. Enjoyable. On tap at Bellwoods, Toronto

[4753-20120823] Tap. Mild lemony fruit grains aroma. Hazy, brown yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Lemon grains and mild leafy hops flavour. Medium body. Quite tasty. (6/3/7/3/15) 3.4

Pours a pale gold with lots of foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Smell is hoppy and somewhat fruity, like pineapple or passion fruit mixed with some pine and citrus, more IPA than Belgian. Palate is on the light side of medium bodied and has a good amount of softer carbonation that does a good job clearing the palate but isn’t overly aggressive. Taste is initially quite bitter and hoppy but then has a smooth sweetness to it before giving way to a long lasting bitter finish. Quite nice overall, but could use more yeast characteristics.

Bottle, pours a light yellow, aroma is faint and the body is fairly thin, decent example, it is quite drinkable, nice offering

Bottle: Poured a super pale yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light hoppy notes with light Belgian malt notes. Taste is dominated by dry and floral hops notes with some light semi-sweet Belgian style malt backbone. Body is light with good carbonation. Nothing earth shattering but well enjoyable light Belgian pale ale.

Bellwoods does a good job with their Belgian styles, and this pale is spot on the style, though yeasty rather than unique or complex. Little head, lighter yellow colour. Above average mouthfeel. Decent drinkability.Neutral aroma.

Bomber from scottatron. Bottled on August 21st 2012. Blonde with a lasting white head. Dusty thin nose. Oxidized, with some cidery pale malt. This did not hold up well.

Pours cloudy yellow. Smells like barnyard straw, similar to other Bellwoods. Brews. Has a strong bitter hops taste that combines nicely with the raw brewibg smell inside the brewpub today. A little bit of sourness in the after, but bitterness controls here. Pretty good. On tap
