A refreshing light Belgian ale fermented with Brettanomyces as a primary yeast. The results are subtle and delicious, producing slight fruity flavours and notes of clove and spice. Not to be confused with our barrel aged Brett beers, this ale is not sour, but rather slightly tart and dry.

[6025-20131027] Tap. Mild cleaner and soured grains aroma. Hazy, pale orange yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter green leafy straw flavour has a lemony finish. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14)?3.4

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2013 (Shared glass on draught at the brewpub, Nov 14 2013) Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow, fairly small white head, little bit of lace. Aroma grassy, little bit of citrus, tropical fruit, a bit grainy, a bit tart. Flavour citrus flesh, some tropical fruit, cut grass at first. Lightly tart and berry-ish in the middle, light somewhat grainy malt, a light bitterness towards the finish with slight spice hints and a bit of lingering fruity/tart character. Light-bodied, dry throughout, moderate carb - refreshing and fairly flavourful for the low abv. Would be great to drink earlier in the day on a patio in the summer. Fear it was rather overpowered when I had it, splitting a glass late in a session immediately off the back of hoppy beers as a breather before some imperial stout.

[Draught at the brewpub.] Pours a murky orange with an average size lasting foamy beige head. Aroma of citrus and grain along with tropical fruit, a hint of berries and some pale malt. Flavour is quite citrusy and fruity along with some grain, light hops some light berry tartness and a moderate bitter finish. Average bodied. Really good, especially for such a low abv.

Pale straw coloured pour with a massive head. The nose is softly spicy with a nice tropical pineapple aroma. Some mango and light crackery malts. There is a touch of herbal cologne-like character and a very light tartness. Light bodied. Really damn tasty for 2.6%!

2013-10-27. Hazy pastel yellow orange body with a small beige head. Aroma of mild tropical fruit, light funk, gooseberry like accents. Flavour is similarly mild, sort of bitter and oddly fruity, very light funk. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable, impressive for the low abv but ultimately a bit overly mild. On tap at Bellwoods. 2.6% abv. Pours a pale, semi-translucent, orange/yellow with a thin, white, bubbly head. Aroma is slightly fruity, roasted, and sweet with some funk. Hints of lemon and orange citrus, very slight chocolate, and banana. Very interesting. Taste is a slightly tart bitter with a mild, funk aftertaste. Low body with a medium-high carbonation. Crisp and clean in the mouth with a bubbly mouth feel. I actually really like this. The aroma is different every time I smell it. Very refreshing and drinkable. Well worth a try. This would be good in the hot summer months. Cheers.
