Bien sucré et houblonné. Traces de pin. Une bonne DIPA mais qui reste dans un crédo assez standard

On draft at brewpub. Cloudy tangerine with small white head. Nose is subtle. Sweet tropical fruit. Taste not overly assertive on bitterness. For dipa reasonably balanced with each component playing it’s role. Pithy grapefruit and pine. Cookie dough malt. Dry finish not overly hot.

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with a large white foamy head. Aromas are tropical fruit and a bit of pine. Tastes of pine, grapefruit, and some roasty malts in the background. Sharp bite on the tongue, oily texture, and a long astringent finish. Nice IPA but with one hell of bitter punch in the face. Would love to try a toned down version of this beer.

Hazy orange body with a medium sized white head and soapy lacing. Mango, pine, grapefruit, a touch of sweet crackery malts and a light bite of booze. Medium bodied with moderate to gentle carbonation, assertive bitterness.

Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of medium-dense off-white head diminishing gradually to a thick cap, heavy chunky lacing. (4/5) Nose is pithy citrus and pine, caramel malt, mango and pineapple. (9/10) Taste is mild sweet and sharply bitter. (9/10) Medium body, low carbonation, lingering intensely bitter finish. (4/5) Boy oh boy I’m liking the Bellwoods IPA’s. This is the Boogie Monster on steroids - heavier body, more intense hoppiness, and a higher ABV, but possibly a bit more polished. Intensely bitter and hoppy, but not harsh. Really quite excellent, if only slightly better than Boogie Monster and Roman Candle. (17/20)

Drank on tap (12 oz) at the brewpub on Oktober 10, 2014. Honey gold, small head. Hoppy bananas and grapefruit aroma, some spicy notes. Hoppy pin and tropical fruit taste, very dry with raw pale malt notes, dry bitterness. Well this does not taste fishy!

Rated on June 7th, 2014. Pours clear amber, nice foam. Aroma is strongly tropical, silky hop pillow that is supported by a pile of malts - and where youc an also find some mangos, peaches and mandarines. Sweet fruits come forward also in taste, first sip takes all those aromas through your throat, increasing this pleasant sensation. Clear and well-balanced, with a necessary hop-bite. Excellent example of a North American double IPA!

On tap at the brewery. Clear copper gold with a nice filmy off-white head. A piney resinous aroma. The taste is sharply bitter pine, some resin & a solid caramel body. Very nice double IPA not too complex but well balanced.
