COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is not for the weak at heart. Long Beach Crude is a Stout that is pitch black with a rich chocolaty favor and a perfectly balanced hop profile to allow all of the malt flavors to dominate.

On tap at the brewery. Nice roasted-burnt malt nose, with chocolate and coffee and molasses. Dark black opaque with creamy thin light tan head. Medium to heavy in body, with medium carbonation. Starts and stays fairly sweet, with a lot of roasted flavor, finishing with a carbonic tang and coffee ground note. Sweet malty chocolate after, with lingering nutty-charred bitterness. A nice stout.

Draft @ brwery. Molasses and tobacco on the nose. Pours a muddy brown. Roasted malts with a considerable hop presence, tobacco, molasses, with bitter chocolate. Not bad.

On tap at the brewpub. Definitely their best beer. Pours very dark amber with a tan head. The aroma is dark roasted with licorice and cocoa. The flavor is fruity with hints of coffee and cocoa. It has a very roasted ashy finish. A little skunk.

Without a doubt their best brew! Dark pour with tannish head and good lacing, the coffee aroma is strong. Solid coffee/chocolate bitterness that stood up well. It would pair well with a good steak or dessert.

On tap at the brewery. Long lasting tan head and a deep brown body with lots of lace. Aroma of espresso, chocolate and a bit of spice. Taste is nutshells, coffee and chocolate. The only one of their beers that was not over carbonated. Creamy mouthfeel with light bubbles.
