A wonderful Light Ale that is golden to strawberry-like in color with a mild hop flavor and bitterness.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2007 on draft at brewery, consumed on 11/12/07. Medium golden hue, nice carbonation that continued to rise throughout tasting. No aroma. LIght bodied, subtle hops on finish take over from bashful malt flavor. Boring.

Clean and crisp, but not much here otherwise. Not something I would try again.

Poured a transluscent golden color. The head was present till it laced up and clinged to the edge of the glass. It was malty with a light mouth feel.It was however crisp and refreshing.

Pours a nice coppery color with an inch of tan head, with good carbonation. It smells kind of tangy and hoppy, with some sweet malt notes as well. The taste is a bit bitter, with just the right amount of tang, some sweet notes are present too. The mouthfeel is very good, kind of creamy. A very drinkable beer.

(22 oz bottle: Belmont Brewing Company in Long Beach, CA) Brewery fresh bottle, but not that it matters with a nearly flavorless beer that is clearly the entry level brew for the restaurant patrons who usually drink a light beer. It has a mild grain/wheat flavor, lightly sweet, perhaps just a touch of hops. Light corn aroma, not much else in the nose. Light bodied and watery on the palate. Pale yellow color, slightly cloudy in appearance. White head settles to a partial film, leaving some patchy lace on the glass. Probably best suited to be served ice cold on a hot day, not that we ever have hot days down here in coastal San Diego.

Light pale golden color, noticeable carbonation. Aroma doesn’t show too much, a bit of malt and a bit of hop, but nothing really jumps out. Palate is light bodied for an ale, showing good carbonation. Pretty light in flavor, moderate bitterness in the finish, rounding out with a mellow dryness. A relatively light flavored ale, nothing more than a crisp refresher.

Hops not pronounced enough... there are better beers at Belmont Brewing.
