(22 oz bottle: Belmont Brewing Company in Long Beach, CA) Brewery fresh bottle, but not that it matters with a nearly flavorless beer that is clearly the entry level brew for the restaurant patrons who usually drink a light beer. It has a mild grain/wheat flavor, lightly sweet, perhaps just a touch of hops. Light corn aroma, not much else in the nose. Light bodied and watery on the palate. Pale yellow color, slightly cloudy in appearance. White head settles to a partial film, leaving some patchy lace on the glass. Probably best suited to be served ice cold on a hot day, not that we ever have hot days down here in coastal San Diego.

Part of the sampler tray at the brewery. Laclustre golden ale. Would not be trying this again

joeneugs (1598) - Livermore, California, USA - MAR 5, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow color with no head. Faint aroma of yeast and grains. The flavor is watery with some corn and a grainy finish. Not much going on here.

Aggie80 (741) - Michigan, USA - FEB 15, 2010
Medium golden color little or no head or lacing. No noticable aroma really, bland sort of light malt and touch of hops. Certainly not a standout, the primary feature was it was cold.

On tap. Pours with a clear golden body and no real head. Aroma of corn, and light noble hops. Taste is a little harsh up front with corn and straw. Husky. Light fruit notes. Thin and fizzy.

elihapa (1385) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - NOV 12, 2009
Pours very pale, no real lasting head. Clean, dry, easy session drinking. That is the name of the game here, and as far as crisp pale lagers go, this isn’t all that bad. The alcohol even feels less substantial than the already-modest 4.5%!

grant (842) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Clear moderate golden color. Slightly fruity (apricot) hoppy aroma; light, slightly stale maltiness. Subtle toasty maltiness in flavor, fruity hoppiness continues. Very clean finish, light bitterness.

Draft: Golden colored pour with little head. Spicy, hoppy nose to it with a crisp malty finish. This wasn’t too bad.
