Cask Transparant, but decent fluffy head, over foxy-amber beer. Bit of caramel, UK hops, dry hop sacks, old hessian. Nutty & caramel flavour, but light & relieved by some good aroma hops added. A bit light for a Best Bitter. Quite some slickness, even sticky, caramel ending. Light bodied, but nice, invitingly tasting bitter.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2010 Cask handpull, The Slug and Lettuce, Leicester. Honey amber, slim lacing slick. Very discreet, resiny aroma of pine needles, evergreen, orange. Full honeyed mouthfeel, cashew malt, spicy and delicately resinous hop like licking aniseed-infused pine sap off a piece of flatpack furniture. Probably. Hugely drinkable and subtly flavour-packed. Everything a BB should be.
