Cask; Occasional. Also available bottle filtered.
Named after the village in which the beer is brewed. A rich smooth ruby red coloured strong ale mingled with a variety of roasted flavours. An unusual blend of hops give this ale a complex distinctive character.

Fra flaske på ølfestivalen: et fruktig øl med behagelig friskhet men lite karbonert. Allikevel lett å like.

Bottle from Tesco, Syston. Pours a dark brown with reddish tint. Cloudy. No head, though. Aroma is mild and slightly sweet. Taste is initially strongly bitter and complex - roasted coffee, hops, fruitcake, syrup, cherry cola. Bittersweet. Let down slightly by the short finish and roughness on the palate. Still nice, though.

Bottle from Tesco in Syston. Beautiful copper colour, no head. Smells like sweet malt treacle. Not a massively exciting flavour, but sort of satisfying. It feels strong and thick. Powerful, without being massively flavour-filled. I do believe I liked it, but don’t ask me why.
