3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, Morrisons, Derby. Chestnut brown, thin patchy white head. Nose is dominated by malt although there is a hint of fruit lurking in there somewhere! Medium to full bodied, nice malty palate with some citrus on the finish. Not bad!

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
50cl bottle,Chestnut colour, aroma hazel nuts, almonds hint of butterscotch, slight taste of roasted malt. Hops don’t give much , just a balance to the malt with no hoppy flavours. Not very tasty for it’s stength (5.1%) dry finish. disappointing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml Bottle: BBD end of Aug 2013, poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 13 Jun 2013.
Looked good: nice red hue to its coat with a fine head of off-white bubbles to top it off.
Malty nose, semi-sweet molasses, nuts on brown bread toasted.
The taste was also semi-sweet and malty: again toasted malts, this time with a caramel feel to the flavour. Mild hop bitterness throughout the brew with a good balance if leaning heavily towards the malt side of things.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
50cl bottle. Brown, filtered with no head. Nose : wet laundry, toast bread. Barnyard. Sip : water texture and body. Almost no carbonation. Sweet malty flavours of caramel and toast bread. It has a delicate bitter ending, develops sour aftertaste. Another disappointing English ale.
