BoozyBugger (15), Glasgow, Scotland Jul 9, 2008 Tasted at Chelmsford beer festival 08. Dry hoppy nose with long caramel finish. Nice beer, would try it again ClarkVV (3559), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Apr 29, 2005 Updated: Sep 20, 2005On cask NERAX 4/28/2005<br />Copper-amber color with a well-retained white head. Cherries, dry balsa wood, crème liqueur, toffee aroma (noticeable diacetyl). Flavor begins with some diacetyl as well, with more fruity cherries, vanilla and earrthy, lightly bitter hops on the finish. Good medium-full body. Too much diacetyl, as Dan Shelton points out, but I guess I havent overdosed on diacetyl yet, at this point in my drinking career and so I still enjoyed it. Wow! A lot better than I was expecting. Or maybe I am more drunk than I think I am and this beer has just become my best friend. Darkish amber, lots of malt, fairly straight forward but just very good at what it does. Really enjoyed this. omhper (11030), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 8, 2006 [Cask at GBBF] Sweetish with some resiny hops and lightly raisiny malt character. Light bodied with light sparkling mouthfeel and notes of grass. An easy going pleasant mild with medium bitterness. Fin (2570), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Oct 23, 2006 Cask, Gravity at the oepning of Merton playground Sat 21st October 2006. Traditional in colour and also traditional in style. Poured amber in colour, with very little head. This beer was a very decent session bitter, nice bitter bite, good hop charactistics, little bit fruity and dry, nothing fancy just a very decent, dependable lower abv beer.
