Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Formerly known as Belvoir Mild Ale.
Built on the foundations of a classic Mild Ale recipe this dark beer has a smooth character. A welcoming flow of full bodied flavours is followed by a pleasant rounded finish derived from a delicate balance of malt and hops.

Cask, Leicester Fest ’08 (Thurs afternoon session). Rubyish with tan lid. Biscuit, body, chocolate and vanilla, with almost citrussy hop reinforcement. Slick, sturdy mild.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. A reddish coloured mild with a rather ashy, toasty malt aroma. Fairly dry with chalky, powdery mouthfeel. Hints of licorice and a slightly sour edge on the finish. A drinkable mild, if a touch more bitter than I’d expect.

a sim rate: (on tap at Battersea Beer Festival) Glorious red/black color, but no head whatsoever. Flat, but with distinct slightly sour flavour of off milk. Smells exactly like blue cheese.

Half pint gravity fed at the Battersea Beer Fest, colour a deep ruby/brown and a slight chocolate malty aroma. Very smooth and easy to drink - an enjoyable malty taste.

Cask gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Very deep ruby colour with bubbly beige head. Quite a hoppy/herby nose, not what you’d expect from a mild at all. Some mild flavt malt in mouth, then more herb and some powdery charcoal. Fairly low on flavour and a drying finish. Its a mild and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
