Cask at Bruxellensis. Who woulda thunk it? British cask in Brussels. Not even close to good condition unfortunately. Nice gold colour, no head. Dry bitter nose and flavour. Wheat and straw in the finish. Totally standard but still, I enjoyed the novelty. DruncanVeasey (1499), Burbage, Germany Sep 15, 2007 The Crown, Nuneaton. Stillish and lemony with a squirt of shampoo hop bitterness. Long, intense, digestive biscuity afters. Wet straw and hutch. Tasty but not enough hop bite. JorisPPattyn (4216), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 9, 2007 Cask B.C.H.; golden, clear beer. UK hops, the best, discreet but refined, if not very assertive. A bit musty taste, old hops flavour, strangely, but not oxydized. But worse, there’s nowt after that... Aptly light. Not very special Bitter. chris_o (4395), London, Greater London, England Feb 21, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival. Pale gold colour. Light, lemony aroma. Dry and clean, but hardly aromatic or fruity. An easy-drinking quaffer. Don’t expect too much depth of flavour but does the job well enough.
duff (5402), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 11, 2006 Cask@Battersea Beer Festival. Some sweet malt and then a citric lemon/lime acidity, nothing fancy, but not too bad.
