The Crown, Nuneaton. Stillish and lemony with a squirt of shampoo hop bitterness. Long, intense, digestive biscuity afters. Wet straw and hutch. Tasty but not enough hop bite.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2010
Cask, gravity, at Wellington Arms, Bedford, in ’4th’ Wellington Beer Festival ’ 10 (Though I can remember several more than three previous festivals at this location). Gold with a small white head. Sweet hair oil malt aroma. Sweet burnt cereal taste, rather interesting. Mid bitter finish. Pretty good.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RichardGretton (3757) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2010
Cask@Melton Beer Festival, 2010. Golden beer with a lightly hopped aroma and a fairly dry and hopped flavour. Overall a reasonable golden bitterly hopped beer.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 greenmanalishi (424) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2009

A Mes rate:
Cask at Bruxellensis. Who woulda thunk it? British cask in Brussels. Not even close to good condition unfortunately. Nice gold colour, no head. Dry bitter nose and flavour. Wheat and straw in the finish. Totally standard but still, I enjoyed the novelty.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 9, 2007
Cask B.C.H.; golden, clear beer. UK hops, the best, discreet but refined, if not very assertive. A bit musty taste, old hops flavour, strangely, but not oxydized. But worse, there’s nowt after that... Aptly light. Not very special Bitter.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2006
Cask (gravity dispense), Battersea Beer Festival. Pale gold colour. Light, lemony aroma. Dry and clean, but hardly aromatic or fruity. An easy-drinking quaffer. Don’t expect too much depth of flavour but does the job well enough.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2006
Cask@Battersea Beer Festival. Some sweet malt and then a citric lemon/lime acidity, nothing fancy, but not too bad.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 harrisoni (10069) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2006
Cask conditioned, gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Copper/golden with bubbly white head. Citrusy bitter. Herby/ginger hop. Malt is a little thin but the spicey hop finish is nice. Anyone fancy having a sip from my Belvoir?
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 leaparsons (6323) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2002
Pale quaffing ale. Good starter pint for a festival. A little thin perhaps but the hops bites wins through in the end.
