It pours a nice clear apricot colored beer with a small whitish head. The aroma is of chestnuts, plums, lots of strawberries, raspberries and bread. The taste is of the same with quite an alcoholic punch. Some peaches and apricots. Olive-oil like notes. Full bodied, sweet and nicely balanced. The warming finish is grassy and wonderfully herbal with a nice dry lingering bitterness. Very enjoyable. Optigon (561), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

Aroma is mildly musky with some fruits and a little grassy. Thick mouth feel with a sweet caramel, fruit (bananas primarily), backing. Some alcoholic warmth with a bit of an alcoholic tingle. Large alcoholic warmth to finish. Not bad. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Aroma of golden syrup and yeast. Taste of sweet fruity cough linctus with a stiff shot of alcohol. There’s a time and place for a beer like this and it’s probably not four o’clock on a warm late summer afternoon. MaliMisho (215), East Meadow, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 8, 2007 This beer was interesting. It had an amber body with thin white head, the thing that I didn’t like, were the many little strings floating in it. This beer was very strong, and had an overwhelming amount of alcohol and malts in the aroma and flavor. Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium
