Amber color with a nice white head. Malt, fruits, vanilla and alcohol aromas, and palate with malt, yeast, fruits and sweet.

Bottle: Orange body, hazy with white head and nice lacing. Apple spice is present in the aroma, along with the alcohol (duh...). In the mouth, I tasted a mild apple tartness, with some spices. Alcohol bites real hard right before the swallow, and then the beer finishes with a strong apple tartness. Not very complex in my mind, but for a gimick beer, its not bad...

Wow!! Plus Forte de Monde! Puored into small glass with a nice blonde color. The high alcohol content is present from the moment it reaches your lips, but continues in a pleasant way with a very subtle sweetness.

Rusty orange and cloudy appearance with a head which quickly dissipates. Not much aroma but some fruit there. The alcohol is clearly present and does dominate somewhat, especailly on the aftertaste. Other flavours struggle to develop. After the aftertaste fades the cheeks warm up as the alcohol takes effect. Not bad, but not worth repeating.

Sampled with Dennis Bell at Ludwigs. EHHH this was just ok for me. Orange pour with a nose of belgian spices and a hint of bread. Citrus yeasty taste. It was ok.

(bottle - 8.4 oz) Slightly cloudy gold color with a soapy white head and a lot of sediment. Aroma has a lot of alcohol present along with some yeast and grains. Flavor is a punch in the face. Very sweet and sour with a lot of alcohol warming at the end and a surprisingly clean finish. Very unique but I don’t think I’d go for it again.

I find it hard to believe that a beer of this alcohol percentage is an all grain beer. This was a gift from Norm .A little sweet and I am reminded a little of the Bush beer when I had this. Page 248 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide only 360 out of his 500 Classic Brews to go.
