mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Nov 29, 2006 Bottled, 13%. BevMo. Pours a syrupy lookin medium/light amber color. Sweet grainy aroma with asome yeast and alcohol. Very alcoholic in flavor. Some yeast qualities in there. Mostly alcohol though. Not too bad. DrewTaylor (154), Michigan, USA Nov 28, 2006 Pours an amber color with a thin head. There was not much aroma, if any malty and alcoholic. I actually sampled the 13% version. The sour and bitter taste did not hide the alcohol. Very sharp finish. An unpleasant beer. peterstrongale (43), Tampa, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2006 Pours a thick amber beer with a small quick disappearing head. Aroma is malty, sweet, and alcoholic. Mouthfeel is oily, sweet, malty, and hot. This one is not to well in balans. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 22, 2006 8 oz bottle, 13% abv version - Pours a hazy, light amber with very little head. The aroma is of alcohol and citrus. The flavor is of alcohol, sweet malts, and spices. The finish is lightly sweet with considerable alcohol warmth. The thin to medium body and the rather light flavors are not enough to support the high abv. It’s really not bad, but at $4 for 8 oz. from the liquor store, I expected better. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Nov 22, 2006 Poured a light brown to amber color with soft thin white head. Sweet malt and spicy alcohol aroma. Sour metal like malt flavor with an alcohol burning finish. Arayaga2 (932), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2006 Standard dark golden beer with thin white head. Not much to see here. Aroma contains sweet malt and alcohol. Flavor is heavily alcoholic and burns going down. Otherwise, flavor is minimal and there is no carbonation to speak of. $4.25/12oz nijuro (63), USA Nov 12, 2006 exceedingly sweet. hints of caramel and black cherries are quickly overwhelmed by the rubbing-alcohol burn. I really didn’t enjoy this. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Nov 9, 2006 (07.13.06) 8 oz brown bottle from Liquorama. 13% ABV. Best before 28.03.07. Fruity nose. Poured clear amber with small white head. No discernable carbonation. Medium bodied ale that starts with moderate malt sweetness and fruity (plum?) and caramel flavors. Finished the same but with light bitterness. Some metallic aftertaste. Definite alcoholic presence. Smooth. A very good high-alcoholic beer.
