Pours light amber with a small head. Malty, alcoholic aroma, that is strangely similar to that of a Baltika Malt Liquor I once had. Sickeningly sweet flavor, with a huge alcohol presence. Tastes like a hard candy your alcoholic grandpa had been soaking in home-distilled liquor for a couple weeks. This is ugly.

Bottle shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry & tupalev - courtesy of blankboy. Pale golden colour with no head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, with strong alcohol notes. Flavour is sweet as well, with a sticky body and notes of hard lemon candy and harsh whiskey. Not very pleasant...

13% clearly displayed on the label along with a date 28 09 06. Guessing that’s a best by date. Wow, nice golden color with a very slight head. Sweet smelling alcohol. Tase was similar to the aroma with alcohol being smack-you-in-the-face-upfront. Not well balanced. One was more than enough of this puppy.

13% alcohol printed right on the neck of the bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a small white head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of grains. As if you walked into a feed store, or better yet if you were in an Amish mans barn (trust me I was in one the other week). Maybe also some caramel malt. Flavor of caramel, yet overall just a watery sweetness.

13% alcohol. You just know that this one isn’t going to be a relaxing sipper. Floral, alcohol aroma. Carmel and malts almost match the taste of alcohol. Now I know why the devil is laughing on the label. The French aren’t that bad afterall.

My 666th rating and I thought ol’ Beelzebub would be apropos. Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev. Vintage 2003 or 2004 (13%). Well I needed something evil so let’s see just how nasty this sucker is. Pours a clear gold with a spare diminishing white head. Pretty flat looking. Sweet aroma of malt and alcohol -- that’s pretty much it. Flavour -- ALCOHOL! -- wow, this sucker packs a punch. Along with alcohol there’s some sweet malt in there too, way back there. Did I mention the alcohol. Another sip: KAPOW! Yup, alcohol. It’s drinkable but this is a pretty small bottle and we split it 4-ways and none of us wished we had more then that, I couldn’t imagine drinking a whole bottle of this devil-juice. I think I liked it more then tupalev cause he’s religious and he can’t handle the EVIL as well but HogTownHarry liked it more then me cause he’s obviously more in touch with the "dark side" then I am. I await to see how evil GregClow is.
