TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA Jan 25, 2006 Belzebuth Pur Malt pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden color, with a tight white head that quicky fades, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is enchanting. Belzebuth knows how to tempt you like a Seiren sweetly singing. Waves of peppery alcohol strength marry with aromas of sweet malt with a slight back drop of estery fruit. The palate is lush with a sea of smooth maltiness that gently glides over the tongue. Lots of great pale malt flavors, with light and jammy touches of peach or perhaps apricot. The body is substantial, but lean for a beer this potent, making it very deceiving, and dangerously drinkable. The beer ends with more sweet, yet crisp pale malt flavors up front, then leads into a very long, high octane, peppery burn that warms you as it slides down the throat, and lights a fire in the belly.
Wow. This is one of the most seductive, soothing, and enjoyable beer I have ever tasted. You will gladly make a deal with the devil after tasting this beer. Great marketing comes with this beer, it is sold is a small gift box containing three bouteilles which are 250ml or 8 ounce bottles. Trust me, 8 ounces is enough, this beer has over three times the strength of your average beer. Belzebuth is a master of deception, looking at this beer you would think it is an ordinary golden ale or lager, but this devil of a brew shows that a beer doesn’t have to be dark to be strong. This beer makes a fantastic cordial, or after dinner drink. It is akin to drinking a fine brandy or cognac. I would not match this with food, though I’m sure it would work well with a number of dishes, including fish, chicken, or pork. Sip and savor this one toccata (70), grembergen, Belgium Jan 22, 2006 deep glowing amber coloured beer with quick disappearing foam. Aroma is complex and very alcoholic. Very much cognac in the nose and touches of spices. Taste is too much. Alcohol is dominating and there is no balance in this beer. found at Auchan supermarket. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jan 19, 2006 I got to disagree with most of the people on this. It has a crisp feeling that seeps into every pore of your tongue and certainly coats it quite nicely. In my opinion, a nice strong ale that doesn’t taste as strong as it is. Excellent. antisnobJP (275), St. Michael, Minnesota, USA Jan 13, 2006 Bottle. Says 13%. Has about an inch of colloidial floaties in the bottom of the bottle. Scary. Light copper with nearly no head. Aroma of the really sweet drinks full of booze young men try to feed innocent young ladies. Almost like unfermented wort mixed with vodka. Thick, very sweet, and alcoholic enough to make you shudder. Very warm going down. No real interesting flavors, just booze syrup. Must find drain. Good bye. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jan 6, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, caramel, citrus, and malt. Flavor of alcohol and malt, not much more. Keeper (164), Milano, Italy Jan 4, 2006 -275ml bottle 13%-

Not Fantastic MoritzF (4856), Bochum, Germany Jan 2, 2006 (bottle; 0,25 l, 13% ABV, BB Sept. 2006) Clear copper colour with a small creamy layer. Strong sweet malty aroma with alcohol and a shy fruity tinge. Very sweet flavour, medium to full body, moderate carbonation. Sweet malty taste; alcoholic and syrupy sweet finish. Too sweet and too strong ( & obviously too alcoholic) for my kind of taste. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Dec 31, 2005 Orangey golden body with a compact white head. Sweet nose, mainly malt with some citrus notes. Give me another Belgian Strong Ale, before this one at least, mainly alcohol driven taste that is smooth, a little sugary, orange and a touch of grains. Somehow, I don’t know why, but I was expecting a lot more out of this beer. This reminds me of a European Strong Lager moreso than what it is.
