FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 7, 2005 Updated: Aug 26, 2007I have had this one only a couple of times. Sampled from an 8 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy honey color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, yeasty and mildly spicy. The mouthfeel is thick though there is a noticeable alcohol burn. The flavor is sweet, honeyish and has a moderate yeasty element and a hint of spice. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA Jun 3, 2005 This was aight. Nothing too exciting. Quite the alcohol burn, but when it’s 13% I guess you have to expect that. Kinda thin on the palate. Some lighter fruit flavors like maybe some peach and pear juices, mixed with apples and hints of bananas. it’s been real.. . stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA May 23, 2005 Updated: Feb 2, 2006had this when it was 13% i love this beer high alcohol, smooth tasting, belgian spices. nose is sweet, citrusy, good body. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA May 22, 2005 A huge waft of orange and Belgian style yeast smacks you in the nose when you pour this orangy yellow brew. The thick rocky white head is short lived, unlike the flavor. Very sweet with an intense malt backbone, Belzebuth does not hide its heavy handed alchohol content. Banana and wheat malt intermingle seemlessly with the otherwise Belgian character of this brew. Simply amazing! Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 21, 2005 Somewhat of a maty aroma. Amber body with white head. Nomatter what Turbo said about hidden alcohol it was the flavor for me. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA May 19, 2005 Bottle poured amber with a good head. Flavor is malty as is the aroma .
Malty, malty, Malty.
Alcohol is well hidden! MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA May 16, 2005 Clear straw gold, big head that dissipates slowly. Nose sweet and spicy, some clove, vaguely tripel-ish. Starts off with a similar tripel flavor, somewhat spicy and sweet, a bit of yeastiness, but then finishes like a shot of vodka, very strong, lots of alcohol that overpowers everything else. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA May 14, 2005 They’re not kidding about the alcohol content - but it wasn’t as overpowering as I expected. This tasted along the lines of a typical Belgian strong ale but it lacked the sweet fruitiness foung in most Belgians.
