Thanks JiM! The aroma is pear, ripe banana, lots of malts, and a light sour green apple hiding, lots of spiciness in the aroma like an allspice and/or cinnamon. The appearance is a clear golden body with an off-white head that laces really well. The flavor is sugary alcohol, odd maltiness, and allspice. I’m not a huge fan of the palate. Too much alcohol

Light tan-orange color with a pale thin head. Malty smell. A big whiff brought alcohol into my nose. A bit pear in scent. The taste is like pears in high-fruictose corn-syrup. Malty. This beer doesn’t hide it’s alcohol at all. I can feel it in my nose when I taste. Finish is strong alcohol. Very mediocre.

Thanks to Jim for this an off golden color w/ a decent white head that quickly dissapated. a bright smell w/ a littl e bit of an off fruity aroma and an alcohol scent. Palate is rich and well coating pretty creamy. Taste is quite sweet hints of pear and lots of maltiness w/ a good alcohol finish. Overall pretty good stuff nothing great but not bad.

A present from a pal, bought in De Bierkoning, Amsterdam (alledgedly) Slightly hazy, deep gold colour, impressive long lasting frothy head, and a good bead of bubbles. Nose is BIG...malty/spicy/fruity..all rolled into one complex aroma. In the mouth alcohol is slightly overpowering, but that’s to be expected I suppose, malt and fruit are noticable on the longish finish. In the style of a good barley wine...liked it, tho’ not great.

Pours a simple yellow color with a thick head that doesn’t last. Aroma is dominated by malts and alcohol. There is almost no hops in the flavor, instead it’s all malts and alcohol burn. This beer is purely a novelty.

Bottle. Nose-smells like a bad Chimay Blue-very fruity and rotten. Shar astringent turpentine like taste. Burns going down. Has an after taste that reminds me of spoiled fruit juice.

pours a cloudy golden with a darkish cream head. aroma is lemon and cloves with more lemon, iwonder how much corriander was used in this? tree bark taste with some over cooked dinner roll flavor. some fruit in the finish, but the alcohol covers it up and beats it to a pulp very quickly and efficiently. this is the antithesis of subtle. some pear notes and some yeast are also present. this is not an entirely pleasant experience. the flavors just are not to my liking.

tasted sweet with a little alcohal burn. It reminded me of a trappist style good but not the best - that’s for sure
