Pours a medium amber with no head. Aroma dominated by alcohol and a sweet breadiness. Flavor is mostly alcohol and sugar, with a bit of doughiness. I’m not a big fan.

Bottled from Peculiar Pub. I was surprised when I first tasted this beer. I was expecting an overmalted gimmick. What I got instead was a tasty beer with strong elements of orange peel and caramel. Pours a strong cloudy orange in color. Not bad at all. I need to find a few of these for home consumption.

Bottled. Slightly cloudy amber colour and not much of a head.Caramelly, alcoholic aroma. Very sweet taste, very caramelly, and some molasses. Alcohol comes through. Maybe a tad too boring and too sweet. At first I wan´t sure wether this was a european strong lager or a strong ale.

Medium amber color, beige head, lasted longer than I thought it would. Toffee, caramel and lots of alcohol. Pretty sweet, pretty alcoholic. While the beer hides the alcohol fairly well, there is still quite a burn. Really not too bad, just very one dimensional and pretty overpowering.

A copper colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is strong with notes of alcohol, caramel, toffee, and malt. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of caramel and toffee, as well as lots of alcohol, that gives a lot of warmth in the mouth and throat, the end is dry and sticky.

Very malty, do not let this beer sit open too long, if it isn’t cold its almost unbearable to drink. Drink this onyl for the 15% otherwise keep moving. Just one of many dissapointing french beers.

This is largely just an exercise in being a novelty beer that clocked in at a hefty 15% (when I had it - I still have the bottle with giant numbers, practically bigger than the name that proudly trumpets how strong it is), without having to actually be a really good beer. It wasn’t complete swill, but if you’re going to go this route, you’re better off sticking to Dogfish Head’s 120 IPA or World Wide Stout, which are admittedly different styles, although they are all basically exercises in high alcohol levels for no other reason that because they can. Kind of like why dogs lick their balls. A strangely suiting analogy, actually.

Old English crossed with a sweet Belgian tripel was what crossed my mind after i first tried this beer. Potent, offensive, and never going to be sampled again by me.
