25 cL bottle, snifter, 28.07.05. Toasted bread, cereal, molasses malt (H); herb and ?orange? hops (M); alcohol, banana, clove, chardonnay, soy sauce, honey, pepper aromas. Pours as thick as motor oil, deep amber-gold body with a thin, creamy, diminishing white head. Molasses, soy aromas do not blend well. Heavily sweet, moderately acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter finish. Heavy body, oily/creamy texture, average carbonation, slight alcohol burn. The bottom line is: big and malty, but there’s no ’wow’ factor here.

13 % version. Clear amber, smallish lasting white head. Extremely sweet, alcoholic corn syrup/molasses nose, expressive but rather too much. On the tongue, sweet and brown sugar-ish, fairly one-note, slightly thickish body, alcohol obvious and present especiall late in the mouthfeel. I mean, I guess if you want to get drunk fast....

Ive had this at 55 degrees for over 2 years...dont know how old it was when i got it...it pours a clear orangish amber color with a thin head that quickly dissappears completely.. and has a quite nice woody malt aroma with some nicely defined bourbon, caramel, vanilla, and candied fruil notes ..very impressive aroma indeed!
Prickly carbination greets the tongue, followed by slightly torched caramel flavors...turning slightly to show alcoholic shadows..solid sweetness...oxidized sugarcane...Definite caramelly malt flavors..Alcohol dominated palate, right above the slightly astringent feeling....but, better than i expeceted, not as good as i had hoped..obviously.

No head on a medium amber hazy body. Poured very thick & lightly syrupy w/ thick alcohol legs on the glass. Soventy hairspray alcohol aroma @ first whiff, followed by a corn sugary sweet aroma. Vanilla as it warms, then some winey and woody notes; hints of scotch whiskey; very oaky woody when it warms. Well balanced w/ a hop bitterness in the finish into the aftertaste which is highly bitter. Alcohol, whiskey, woody flavors, very little fruitiness, dry finish but malt flavored mid palate. Not much depth overall. Very full bodied & smooth with some alcohol burn in the mouth as it leaves. I’m not sure exactly what to think of this beer! I’m not 100% sure I like it a whole lot. It’s complexities are low for a bigger beer and seems more like watered down whiskey to me.

Wow, 9 bucks for 3 bottles...and what ridiculously small bottles they are. Ah well, the aroma is intense...alcohol and sweet creamed corn. Very sweet and brandyesque. Incredibly smooth considering the ridiculous alcohol content (which asserts itself early). I feel tempted to give this a very high rating but wait a couple hours to try it again. The rating lowers. You could hurt yourself with this. A puzzling brew, I like it. Too damn expensive though.

Brewtopia’04. Clouded brown color with no head. Dirty socks are the first thought I have with the aroma. Big, fortified, boozy presence like GrandMarnier. Huge and cloying beer. Very malty and sugary, then woody and burning. Fun to try.

Pours a cloudy amber with a weak beige head. Aroma was of sherry, malt, hops. Not very inviting. Medium body. Flavor was potent. Strong alcohol. Like drinking whiskey.
