Scent is surprisingly mild but the taste is powerful and evil. Intense alcohol with a bit of spice and perfume. Imagine drinking Old Spice...

Still, I can't help but like it just a little. With each sip, I care less and less about things like flavor and palate and more about sucking down as much alcohol as possible.

15% version. Bright orange-copper w/ fine, streaming bubbles. Creamy, tan head. Sweet, brandy-ish aroma of dark dried fruit (raisins, dates), candied pears, some caramel, & alcohol. Soft, creamy feel. Very, very sweet brandy flavour w/ a light creaminess, some spiciness & fruitiness. Intense alcohol flavour in the finish, leaving the tongue slightly numb.

Bottle. A French B-wine? Uhhh? Amber, minimal head. Very thick mouthfeel that seems to neutralize the perfumey aroma. Malty texture/flavor, some neutral fruits (pears, apples).

Wow! 13%! The beer carried it really well too. Aroma of spicy vegetable, celery. Purely orange in color with sediment and little head. Flavor was interesting, very rich, citric. Finish was malty sweet. Pretty good.

BBD: 28.02.04 13%ABV App: Foams out of the bottle. Pours crystal clear(not bottle conditioned?!) copper w/just a ring of foam at edges of glass Aro: not too complex: deep carmel malt. Just layer upon layer of sweetness twinged with a bit of raison. Alcohol. Pal: medium body. Hot alcohol @ back of throat. Flav: Maybe a bit oxidized...but this thing is sweet malt and hot alcohol. The only way I can drink this is like a martini(little sips), otherwise the alcohol fries me. Over: Too sweet and too much alc. I like big strong beers, but this doesn't hold a candle to an Abt 12, Imperial Stout, or Barley wine.

strange, vanilla spice. a bloody stabbing dagger rather than an actual aroma. the alcohol probably murdered the head. actually tastes... alright. go ahead, finish yourself!

15% version: Pours a lifeless copper with a thin off-white head. All I can say is pure alcohol. Has some malty complexity but it is so quickly burned off my tounge that I’m not even sure it’s there. This could learn a lesson from Dogfish Head.

Sort of an off orange color, a bit hazy, head didn't last but a minute or so, completely faded away. Aroma was a blast of alcohol, a bit of sweetness, and nothing else. The flavor was again alcohol based, and although it was full bodied and sweet, it simultaneously struck me as being a bit thin. A bite on the palate. A one dimensional beer.
