I am almost afraid to give this a less than average rating, due to the fact that evaluating the “Lord of the Flies” may result in my tortures demise.-- My beer was the newer and lighter 13% abv. This beer poured a majestic golden color with a large frothy white head. It had an orangey grain alcohol nose and an oily palate, but the flavor was yeasty and sweet, like molasses. I guess this sweetness was the attempt at hiding the alcohol. Belzebuth is a decent brew and is definitely worth a try due to its distinct personality; but over all I was not so impressed. – I did get a buzz from drinking this beer.

bottle from toronado - hard to describe, extremely dfferent beer, the alcohol is hidden rather well but it is very sweet and malty, i dont think i would drink this very often because of the flavor, but it definitely be tried out and experienced

This brew pours a small head of quickly diminishing small fizzy bubbles. It had a light orange brown color. The aroma contained notes of malt, hops and a discernable alcohol content of medium strength. It had a stong alcohol flavor that was very over powering the other flavors. It was smooth yet burned as it went down. Truely a devilish brew!

Golden in color, small head that faded quite fast, the aroma was malty sweet with a definate hint of alcohol, with some mild hints of caramel and mild fruit tones as well.the taste was much the same as the aroma with a big alcohol punch.with the after taste being malty and mildly hopped, and then the alcohol kicks in again giving a very warm feeling going down.IMO this is definately not a brew that i care to have again.I definately know there are better brews out there in this style.Thankfully i have only one to try thanks to my Bro-In-Law

An interesting taste, very sweet with a slight vanilla taste and interesting twinge with the yeast. Alcohol is very warming, especially as it warms up. Glad I tried it, but not something that I would drink often.

Amber colored with a small fizzy white head. Smells like wet dog. Sweet alcohol taste. Has a smokey or marinated taste. Definitly a sipper.

Bottled. Ginger-amber colour, rising fine gas but not sustaining a head. Sweet malt aroma drowned out by ethanol. You’ve got to try to pick the flavours between the sweet and the burn. Course burnt palate with a long sweet tail. The moral is, if your going to be this big, be subtle about it...this isn't.

Smelled like pumpkins with alcohol. Not much head. Copper color. A little carbonation. Split with my girlfriend, neither of us cared very much for it. As other breweries have shown, just because a brew is high abv, doesn't mean has to taste terrible.
