Flaske: Orange klar øl uden synderlig karbonering.

Bottle. Very strong malty flavor, sweet and heavy. The alcohol content is certainly not hidden.

Lucent gold, dense white head, sticky medium-full body, medium-high carbonation.

Aroma: musty malt, fruity ale yeast.

Taste: complex alcohol esters, fruity yeast esters, sweet malt, residual rice and cidery sugar flavors, and stale hops.

Complex and interesting, but i wouldn’t call it unigue. Alcohol is the main flavor contributer.

Bottle. Clear orange-gold pour with a frothy white head which fades to leave a heavy lace. Strongly metallic nose called this French-brewed Belgian Strong Ale into question immediately. Balanced strongly towards sweet but there is some bitterness early on. But there is little of the ripe fruit flavors which mark the typical BSA - maybe some banana but it’s overpowered by sucrose sweetness and the metallic taste which makes appearances periodically. Body is light with medium carbonation and little maltiness to speak of. Other than the high ABV, this one is disappointing. Maybe it doesn’t travel well?

Bottle. Poured a clearish gold with a tiny white head. Nose of booze, sugar, earthy notes, and light spice. Taste is really similar with a bit of yeast and more spice coming through. Body is well carbonated and dry. Overall, a decent, though strange brew.

Courtesy Sdr. Borup. 11,8% abv. Dark yellow and clear. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma of malt, light bread, alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet, more alcohol. Texture is oily.

8.4 oz bottle. Got at Carl’s Meat Market in Kittery, Maine. A different aroma of Belgian yeast, grapes, alcohol, and sweetness. Flavor is light and does not show the alcohol as much as one would expect. Some honey and slight grape flavor with a mild yeast character. Slight warming finish. Better than I expected and nice crisp mouthfeel.
