3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (23918) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 22, 2005
A copper colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is strong with notes of alcohol, caramel, toffee, and malt. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of caramel and toffee, as well as lots of alcohol, that gives a lot of warmth in the mouth and throat, the end is dry and sticky.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2005
(Bottle 25 cl) 15% ABV version. Fully golden with a dense and pretty head. Naturally quite alcoholic - but not really any worse than a European strong lager - with a high degree of sweetness . Has a spirituous almost sherry-like edge. To be enjoyed in very small quantities. 191201
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yespr (22162) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUN 12, 2008
25 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a slowly collapsing off-white head. Dense malty aroma towards fruity. Flavour is mild yeasty which I assume provide the almost Belgian fruit esters to an alcohol dense and quite malt based beer. Solid warmth in the finish from the alcohol.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 oh6gdx (16000) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 9, 2007
Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is alcohol, malts, caramel and some slightfruitys also. Flavour is really caramel malty with a stinging alcohol coming through in a warming way. Also quite much toffee and slight notes of grass.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 22, 2002
Red/orange. Extremely sweet, which hides the enormous alcohol content well, but also makes it taste awful. Way, way too sweet.

Bottle, 13%. Alcoholic aroma, hint of caramelly malt. Hazy grey amber colour. Big stable creamy off-white head. The flavour is quite sweet, the alcohol burns through the sweetness like vodka. Caramel sweetness, hint of marcipan.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - SEP 10, 2002
[13% version] Golden colour, poor head. Sweet aroma, honeyish, a little malty, alcohol, bitter oranges. Pretty sweet, strong body, too much alcohol; just balanced by some bitterness. Not the worst of the strong lagers, but far from being a good beer (well, actually it’s a top fermentation one, but it doesn’t look like).
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Dedollewaitor (10290) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2008
25cl bottle. Pours orange with a fine lasting white head & lacings. Aroma is sweet malty & fruity. Banana & pear. Very sweet cloying, sticky & warm taste. Very sugary also - of course. Not disgusting - but far from delicious. Im going for a 10km ride on my bike in a minute & its freezing outside - I
think I’ll have another sip!
