[13% version] Golden colour, poor head. Sweet aroma, honeyish, a little malty, alcohol, bitter oranges. Pretty sweet, strong body, too much alcohol; just balanced by some bitterness.
Not the worst of the strong lagers, but far from being a good beer (well, actually it’s a top fermentation one, but it doesn’t look like).

(Best by 3/28/05) Clear amber body with medium, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, grainy, banana. Taste is very sweet, grape, banana, finishing treacly alcohol. Full body. Definitely a sipping beer, and despite my initial reservations, my palate adjusted to the sweetness and I even came to somewhat enjoy it. Still, if a beer has to be high alcohol, I prefer it to not taste so high in alcohol.

275ml bottle at 13%. Copper colour with very thin white head. quite a good aroma with some whisky and candied orange peel. Not overly sweet as I had feared it would be. Some tang on the finish and some drying alcohol burn. Really pretty good

Courtesy of Fonefan. Warm golden with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma has sweetness, notes of malt and alcohol. The flavour is SWEET with notes of alcohol, malt and yeast. It’s not very inspiring and the sweetness and alcohol is too much for me.

Can, tapped in Holland. 13 % alc. by vol. One the last ratings of 2008. Bit hazy deep golden colour with a medium white aroma. Sweet, bit fruity, yeasty and malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with yeast and some wheat, some frutiness, malt, pleasant mild bitterness and little spice. Some alcohol is noticed in the sweet frutish yeasty finish. Thanks Ogi!

No head. Malt and raisin in the aroma. Thick. Sweet, raisinny very alcoholic taste with some orange. The flavor isn’t bad, but you only tatse alcohol and fruit. In fact this is too rich to be drunk as a beer.

Bottle, bought @ Ambrosetti, Berlin.
Pours a nice golden colour with a fine, large, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has green apples, lots of alcohol, some caramel and some bamboo-like quality? Low carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is very alcoholic, some grainy and bready sweetness and not much bitterness. Completely unbalanced.

(Bottle) Pours a copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, caramel, citrus, and malt. Flavor of alcohol and malt, not much more.
