(Bottle) Pours a copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, caramel, citrus, and malt. Flavor of alcohol and malt, not much more.

275ml bottle at 13%. Copper colour with very thin white head. quite a good aroma with some whisky and candied orange peel. Not overly sweet as I had feared it would be. Some tang on the finish and some drying alcohol burn. Really pretty good

25cl bottle. Pours orange with a fine lasting white head & lacings. Aroma is sweet malty & fruity. Banana & pear. Very sweet cloying, sticky & warm taste. Very sugary also - of course. Not disgusting - but far from delicious. Im going for a 10km ride on my bike in a minute & its freezing outside - I think I’ll have another sip!

Bottled 25cl (ABV 13%, BZ, BB 11/2011)
Deep golden color, small white head, some lace. Aroma is mainly glueish (Eri Keeper) and alcoholic, maybe slightly grainy. Full-bodied but quite watery palate compared to ABV. Flavor is sugary sweet with apple fruityness and cheapish alcohol. Lingering sweetness in the aftertaste. Oversweet and unbalanced.

(Best by 3/28/05) Clear amber body with medium, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, alcohol, grainy, banana. Taste is very sweet, grape, banana, finishing treacly alcohol. Full body. Definitely a sipping beer, and despite my initial reservations, my palate adjusted to the sweetness and I even came to somewhat enjoy it. Still, if a beer has to be high alcohol, I prefer it to not taste so high in alcohol.

Bottled. (13% ABV) I expected alcohol would dominate this beer completely, but it doesn’t. The aroma has camfer, malt, some hops and spices as well. The alcohol is more pronounced in the flavor, which is quite sweet and fruity. It poured clear, golden with an off-white head. Medium body. A drinkable french lager weighing in at 13% ABV wasn’t what I was expecting! (061222)
