Here is a beer that a beer lover would sell his soul for. This devilish brew from France is a Belgian Golden Strong Ale by style. This beer weighs in at a mighty 15% abv so beware! Belzebuth Pur Malt pours to a deep golden color with a slight white head that fades, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose is very fragrant with sweet and pale malt aromas, and waves of peppery alcoholic strenght. The palate is a sea of smooth malt flavors paired with estery, light jammy touches. The body is gentle, and lean for a beer of this strength. Belzebuth finishes with more great malt flavor up front, then ends with a very high octane, warming burn that lights a fire in the belly. This beer is phenemonal. Seek this one out at all costs.

Nice aroma, sweet with smell of cognac, same goes for the taste-sweet alcohol. Not really for me, but thanx Mullman!

A fascinating beer. Darn good. However, the alcohol is perhaps a bit more apparent than it should be in a good beer.

38??? Are you kidding me!?!? The current rating of 38 is not appropriate for this beer... Even though this beer is known as one of the strongest (or strongest) all malt Belgian ales, it deserves to be known as more than that. I’m not even going to get into the prowess it takes to make an ale, consistently, that is 13% (and appropriately carbonated). This is a GREAT beer. It’s smooth, the flavors are in balance (even with the high alcohol level)...yes, alcohol is evident, but that’s expected. This is one of those beers where it’s absolutely clear, especially to brewers, that the brewer has reached a very high level of mastery in his/her craft... to produce such a fine product when also trying to achieve such a high level of alocohol is not easy to do by any means. Excellent!

Belzebu isn´t a "purity law beer" but who cares? It´s have a wonderful taste and a beautiful color and I didn´t taste the alchool when I drunk it. Belzebu não é uma cerveja feita segundo "a lei de pureza" mas quem liga? Tem um ótimo gosto, uma bela cor e eu não senti o álcool nela quando a bebi.

A very alcoholly aroma, with a hint of coffee, and something roasty; The taste was strong, not very beerish, heavy cloying sweetness, very bitter.

I can understand some people like this beer but I think that the alcohol level does not let you get the taste, it is too strong. By the way it looks it seems to be made for those guys that want to seem more MACHO MEN getting stoned. To rude, don´t try it.

Beautiful color and aroma. Nice thin white head. First sip is a shock of almost too sweet. It is a very sweet beer, but very nice to sip.
