Pours a dark amber, with no head. Aroma is sweet and strong. Spices and alcohol on the tongue. It's like drinking cheap brandy that's in a plastic bottle.

Medium amber color, beige head, lasted longer than I thought it would. Toffee, caramel and lots of alcohol. Pretty sweet, pretty alcoholic. While the beer hides the alcohol fairly well, there is still quite a burn. Really not too bad, just very one dimensional and pretty overpowering.

Lighty fruity yeast aroma. Some dark fruits. Body is overly heavy. Yeast and bananna flavor with whopping alcohol

slightly cloudy amber. fruity sweet smell. nice lacing. Light taste with hints of banana and clove followed by a strong taste of alcohol. Almost someone made a decent belgian ale and put a shot of vodka in it. Smooth, but a little watery as it finishes.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2007 The aroma has lots of alcohol, fruity esters, stale grains and a weird kind of skunkiness I associate with pale lagers in green bottles. The body is a dull golden color and holds a lasting, two finger thick, white head that is fluffy and creamy looking. Tastes very boozy, like cheap vodka. Has some rotten fruit flavors and stale bready notes. Pretty nasty tasting on the whole and way hotter than it needs to taste.

Tasted the 13% version. Head almost non-existent, white and very low, but leaving some traces on my glass. Red-brown body. I was afraid it would taste alcoholic, but it was not the case. It’s a strong beer, and not one I’d drink in the morning (it got me almodt drunk). What I noticed most is the aroma : dark chocolate and roated nuts. An original experience indeed.

Nice aroma, sweet with smell of cognac, same goes for the taste-sweet alcohol. Not really for me, but thanx Mullman!

Light tan-orange color with a pale thin head. Malty smell. A big whiff brought alcohol into my nose. A bit pear in scent. The taste is like pears in high-fruictose corn-syrup. Malty. This beer doesn’t hide it’s alcohol at all. I can feel it in my nose when I taste. Finish is strong alcohol. Very mediocre.

Had this before but never quite got around to rating it, so thanks to Craig (if it was you?) for including this in my Cropredy Box, consumed 08-10-08 Pours mid- dark amber with white head. Sweet malt and alcohol linger on the nose. Alcohol whilst always evident isn’t as fierce as I expected, its a bit wayward at times but there is a fair degree of bananyness going on as well, its really quite sweet and the malt is also a bit much, still I expected much worse so all in all it wasn’t so bad.
